I used the Hell Roaring dual battery isolator with the Genesis battery tray. All solid-state. And I removed the old battery cables that Genesis leaves taped off.
I have had the same problem after two weeks of inactivity. But I have a dual battery so just switched to the backup and started right up. The backup battery is isolated when the truck isn't running. All the computers have a significant draw on the main battery thus leaving it flat after a...
Not bump steer. Bump Steer has you jeep moving to the left or right when you hit a bump. The shaking of the steering is death wobble. On my CJ3b I can actually lean out the side and see the whole wheel violently shaking. Cause is loose wheel bearings and steering parts that I need to rebuild.
No. What you are experiencing is early onset death wobble. When it gets worse you have to slow down and almost come to a complete stop to get rid of it.
The tie rod ends in the aluminum knuckles on the JT are prone to loosen up and you get exactly the symptoms you describe. I experience...
I used the genesis tray, and ripped the stock harness and battery out. works great and when the primary drains from sitting too long I have the second battery for backup.
If you have the trail rails, attaching the shell to the trail rails and having them carry the load instead of the bed caps would be more reliable. The gap between bed and shell just uses a gasket to seal it. No load applied. The AluCab canopy puts all the weight on the trail rails and works...
Drove 500 miles north on Wednesday and got 15-16 mpg. 3" lift with 37" KM3. Return trip on Saturday got 14 mpg. I have no idea why the difference. I didn't eat that much turkey.
It's a jeep. I just fuel it up when it gets to 1/4 tank. Not going to worry about fuel mileage anymore.
I have had to tighten tie rod ends at the knuckles 3 times in 20K miles because they loosen up in the aluminum knuckles. The next time will be the last time. The knuckles will be replaced with cast iron knuckles.
That's not the steering stabilizer. Re-torque all tie rod ends and ball joints and dynamically balance the tires.
And take it somewhere else to get it fixed. They obviously don't know wth they are doing.
Only place to keep a 40" spare is in the bed. I don't think any of the bumper mounted tire carriers support a 40" spare. You might build a custom carrier to work. If you need the bed for gear, then the spare in the bed is going to be a problem. The weight of the 40" tire/wheel makes it...
I have the same problem. only way I have found to "turn off" the radio is to turn the volume down to zero. Maybe Tazer could create a new function for us old fogeys that still listen to the radio.
This happens with any type of headlight in heavy snow, thick fog, or heavy rain. That's reflection is worse when you run high beams, that's why fog lights usually shut off the high beams when turned on. Also, LED's are a poor choice for wet snow because they aren't hot enough to melt the snow...
