So took spare off when changed tires out and hadn't had it on for several months. Just didnt get around to matching the spare to mybother tires until today. Went to put it back up and it clicked about 4 inches from seating all the way. So lowered it fully thinking had it bound up. Then got it to...
I guess depends how easy these are to put on and off and how securely they stay on once locked in. My steps bang the hell out of rocks one trip and held up but annoying. But need steps for my wife but rather have rails. This is about what I would look at for replacement. If price is close to...
I still get 22-18mpg averaging around 20 despite mods that should have dropped it further down from the 24 I averages at stock with smaller tires. Pulling anything significant, and really don't tbh much, it gets about 17ish.
So if that is true about the extra fuel space for gasers, then that...
Been intrigued by the apex despite the costs. Glad to see a wide group actually have had them for a longer term of use. Maybe, if I have bonus to blow someday or convince my wife that it's needed . Then again MCs are like bit over $100 & my wrenches are free... how pain in the rear are...
For just the switch end to the solenoid side of things? Small one, think I used a 5 since that was what the harness that came with the warn P-I kit used. I didn't use the wiring harness it came with, but used same size bladed fuse at the switch controller unit I have.
Yeah I ended up just using the warn as well. Mostly because even if you buy that solenoid alone you'd still need to make or buy a short positive battery cable. Since cost of crimpers, wires, and boot covers would sort of come close to what they charge for that kit anyways. I just got that and...
Some would argue that the entire electrical system is, doesn't necessarily mean we should hard wire everything :). Personally I didn't want an under the hood switch so I have a solenoid that is hooked to a switch panel I have lights wired into. Needed? No, but had open switch so wasn't a reason...
Yeah my passenger broke looked at the shitty built setup and instead of having bad product put back on under warranty I got brackets that cost like $10 at the time. Put it on drivers side just as a preventative afterwards. Been there for nearly 3 years no issue since.
Didn't dispute any of that... that's on the user for using it improperly if they don't know that. But what that got to do with him hitting a deer going highway speeds? I doubt he was offroading where he needed a thick walled rock crawler bumper at the time.
I destroyed a bumper, grill, head light, and ripped the entire fender off last time I hit a deer. Going roughing 65ish at the time (105km/h or so). Bumper did it's job. Could have been a lot worse, had to wait couple months to get it completely repaired when that happened.
Some people seem to...
Yeah I'm surprised how well they do on the dunes. Well stock even with my sport I mean. I just put new suspension and lift on it so excited to get on the dunes next spring again. Tin Cup is fun when wet and some of the surrounding areas trails as well. Local to west Michigan like 10 minutes from...
Honestly thought same thing for years... then got deal from someone. So grabbed it knowing would be easy to sell if I hated it.
Taking it off while taking the hard top off isn't any added time really, I bet by the time it takes me to take a panel off and put it away then do the other one. That...
I love the 285/70 size tires(On 17" MT classic rims.). I also have the 3.73 gear and ride the AT3W wildpeaks right now. They are a great all around tire. Speedo is slightly off around 60, but easily fixed if you care with a couple different devices at different price ranges.
I don't have a sup board, I'm more a kayak person in the water. But I work on the shores of Lake Michigan and they are popular combo there. Tourist and locals alike.
You're also in Iowa so a 4x4 is nice to have regardless if never leaves pavement.
Was just calling out someone who must think he is gods gift to us all... so his opinion on what a daily driver is must be the truth. Now in most of Michigan it is certainly not a must have, but it is a really...
