  1. Beaver Island Camping

You'd really have to had abused it to hurt something tbh. Unless that was a really rock trail you were hitting things with it and/or bottoming out hard on. Been a long time since been to Beaver Island so I don't remember those trails much there, was a kid last time was there.
  2. Tire compatibility question 275/65R17

Will fit fine, as for difference it is just a smaller tire is all. Not 100% accurate but pretty close to the difference in the speedometer (That is if it is set to the current size currently that is.):
  3. 34" Tires

You'll probably be fine in any of those sizes. You'd get better use with those gears below the 35" but plenty people run those anyways. Until the day I decide I need to re-gear out of 3.73, I'll probably be sticking with 33s. I'm in Michigan so unless want to do serious mudding holes, not a...

Mackinaw City, MI with the Mackinac Bridge in background after a trip for a few days in the Upper Peninsula region of Michigan.
  5. Gladiator waiting for me after work makes me smile!

    ...never-mind my atrocious parking ability.
  6. Help me find the right tires

So I did end up over Labor day wkd getting MTs BAJA Boss A/T installed and had opportunity to test them out in sand, mud, even some minor stone etc... over a long weekend last week. They are awesome, the wildpeaks were good but these are awesome even without airing down. We were in and out of...

  8. Needed new tires....again

That's just crazy, maybe had a really bad set? Curious what caused that. You'd have to really be hitting corners hard and stopping hard though for just city driving to cause that kind of premature wear though, I mean really abusing them not just being heavy footed. I drive heavy footed often and...
  9. Mopar Ducks.

The grizzled Jeepers around here won't wave at me half the time even when there are no ducks on my dash... something about driving a mullet or the like. Or so one half jokingly told me once.
  10. Help me find the right tires

I was curious with these I can get these reasonably priced... to the point I was questioning if people didn't like them. My At3W's although fine in winter lost a lot of it's traction it had when they were new, I mean still love em off road. But I have been looking at the Baja Boss A/T ones as my...
  11. Mopar Ducks.

I was just trying to have a civil conversation my apologies if that came off like that. You do you man.
  12. Mopar Ducks.

What was I disagreeing on exactly? I'm more ambivalent to the whole thing these days. Was fad that faded at this point. I couldn't really care. Was an observation and yet you still felt like stomping your foot more over an opinion, yes it was just that, but I didn't say it was wrong or actually...
  13. Mopar Ducks.

^^This^^ Never amazes me the weird crap people get upset about. Don't like ducks... okay. Always amused and weirded out that some start stomping their feet over this? I once got a mini bottle of vodka left in lieu of a duck once, so even though the amusement of the duck thing has passed that...
  14. Purchase advice on rear tailgate tire carrier

Not compatible with the camera, so would have to re-route it. But JCR offroad use to have a modular type one. So was technically removable if needed. But you had to buy the bumper, swing gate and the tire mount a la carte. Wasn't for me, but saw it someplace once as a demo setup. Was cool that...
  15. Maximum (suggested) water fording depth stock Nighthawk

Lol this is the reason my rule is usually below the doors line. I don't want to pull carpet and don't trust myself to not get stuck.
  16. Maximum (suggested) water fording depth stock Nighthawk

... its all fun and games until you need to get tugged out with a Bronco Sport
  17. Recommended to Replacing all steering components at once?

Just under 155k, never had issues with until I did. In hindsight it was losing power slightly over time that think just never noticed it. You know until the new motor seemed awful peppy and I was like huh... yeah.
  18. Recommended to Replacing all steering components at once?

Replaced it, less then a 1000 miles right now. Old engine got misfire thought from cam. Then realized it had other issues on top of the cam. It was fubared
  19. Recommended to Replacing all steering components at once?

More of a Ive put a lot of miles on it and some of those were bit rough. So preventative I guess my thought... but yeah maybe overthinking it
  20. Recommended to Replacing all steering components at once?

So approaching 156K miles on the body with new motor long block. Lifted 3" with fox 2.0 shocks and have 33" tires that are on MT classic wheels with -12 offset, so they kick out slightly. As would expect ball joints will need to be replaced again soon. So good idea to just do all at once? I...
