Super cool to see this - adds to the "pros" list for onboard air under-hood. I've still not decided on under-hood or getting a tank and putting something bigger (Extremeair, Viair, etc.) in the bed. Still leaning towards the latter, but this is a super neat element.
Year and a half, just under 11K miles due to working from home. No cracks, but I have a plethora of chips - probably close to a dozen. I'm wondering whether there's any benefit being provided by the ceramic UV windshield tint I had applied when I bought it. (Well, it is totally clear, no tint...
I'm glad the thread was helpful! Congrats on getting the kit installed!
On your question - sounds are so subjective, so can't say that I heard creaking per se, but after the first week or so of driving (about 200 miles or so) had a bit of what I'd call clunk/pop. I went back and re-checked...
I've got 37's on mine, with 2.5" AEV lift. At home on the driveway, I use this puppy. It works fine for changing tires or getting high enough to put jack stands in place. You can get ones that lift higher, but being only 56lbs makes it easier to wield for me, especially if placing in the bed...
Yeah, I definitely wave for the comradarie. I did the same when in other vehicles with similar "ecosystems" like the Miata. Around here, I didn't ever have the risk of getting sore waving to other Miata drivers. There are tons of Jeeps though, my waving hand can get a little sore. :)
I would have jumped on something, but ended up having to replace the dang refrigetrator that went out. At least I got about $600 in Black Friday savings for the replacement...
Agree for sure... it did teach me to never trust blindly, which is probably a good (if painfully annoying) lesson learned, which is why I shared here. I've definitely enjoyed the final product, and am very happy with it. One thing that I think AEV should do (really all lift manufacturers) is...
Yes it is. Put one on my JT and my wife's JLUR without an issue.

I take my Fenix LR35R with me on trips, otherwise have a couple Harbor Freight ones all the time with me. I wasn't even aware of flashlights that got that bright until a year or so ago - found out that I had a stupid amount of REI rewards built up and went online and found the LR35R on their...
Amen! I kinda operate on the mode of "I only clean the Jeep when I get too dirty getting in and out of it" instead of an "it's dirty so I gotta clean it." Pretty much how I've treated Jeeps and pickups over the years. The sports cars got the detailing treatment, but I laugh thinking about how...
Glad you're liking the Mickeys -- I'm also running the Baja Boss AT 37's - have liked them (about 2k miles on them so far, mostly onroad), but do need to get them back to Discount for balancing. I'm thinking I lost a weight or two on one of the passenger side tires.
Agree that 35lbs is...
I had adjusting the headlights on my to-do list upon completion - but found that I didn't have to. My heavy bumper and winch set up gives me enough rake that it wasn't necessary. I haven't had a single "flashing" complaint from oncoming traffic to confirm what I found. (I kinda wondered about...
Hi Jacob,
I didn't take close notes of everything I used, but off of the top of my head I recall the hardware bag had a label on it listing all of the parts that are supposed to be in it. Verify that those are present - and when you get to the rear track bar check the axle mount thread pitch...
Along with the fact that the Yeti versions (also called "bumbles") all live in frozen tundra areas near the North Pole, the singing ones are often confused with the extra terrestrial Purple People Eaters - all of which may or not be seen enjoying a daquiri or two with Elvis and JFK in South...
I didn't disconnect the drive shaft when I installed my AEV 2.5 inch lift... No experience with the Rough Country lift, but don't understand why that would be required. I looked through the instructions and didn't see where they say to reattach the drive shaft, so maybe it isn't needed. ...
I don't have links right at my fingertips, but look at some of the better YouTube installation videos - Northridge and Teraflex have good videos, though they're mostly using vehicle lifts when doing so. Ali Mansour's vidoes on the Driving Line channel are good references too - he installed his...
