  1. You don't realize how much the Tazer adds until its gone.

Definitely - and you didn't mention my two favorite features, ESS being set at your last setting (meaning, OFF ;) as well as automatically turning off the license plate lights so when you reverse at night your camera isn't washed out by the light streaming into it. I didn't buy the cable when I...
  2. How many Jeep branded rides have you owned?

Fun thread ... I too had to think about it. '03 TJ Sahara - super fun, had to get rid of for more family friendly daily driver '05 Liberty - bought to be my daughter's first vehicle - the Mrs though really liked this one a ton. The seats were perfect for shorter folk, matched her perfectly...
  3. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

Wanted to push my mid-length Fishbone bumper forward to keep it with the 37's, were too close for comfort with lots of articulation. Installed a DV8 JK to JT/JL bracket and pleased with the result. I didn't measure, but easily 2 inches forward. As a bonus could reinstall the skid plate which...
  4. Seat Comfort: Is it the angle or the firmness.....

I second the seat jackers - I got the adjustable ones and use the full height adjustment - made a huge difference for me. That being said, everyone will have different preferences. My wife does NOT like them, so she doesn't have them in her JLU. edit to add - for me, it was all angle...
  5. Rubicon Trail Brief Review and Battle Scar Reports

Up front are you running the JKS geometry correction brackets? Impressive what your armor did for you. I ask because after putting the AEV geometry correction brackets on mine I get what folks say about them being rock magnets. I've been wondering if trails like the Rubicon would be too much...
  6. Rubicon Trail Brief Review and Battle Scar Reports

Holy smokes, that's awesome! Thanks for sharing!
  7. Colorado and Back in 15 Days

What an amazing trip y'all took! BleepingJeep just covered Devil's Punchbowl in their "Deadliest Catch - er - Trails of Colorado" video series on their YouTube channel.
  8. 3 for 3. My wife’s now too afraid to drive the Gladiator.

Hate that y'all have been going through this, I hope in the end everything is better than possibly imagined right now. But also gotta say that you exemplify a great attitude, and your wife is an amazing trooper. I cannot imagine my wife being willing to drive for a long distance, let alone...
  9. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

I kinda figure if any of us could do that, you'd have the experience after all the stuff you've worked on over the years. ? One piece at a time...
  10. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

Ran the 37s for a week or so before installing the Falcon Nexus EF 2.2 steering stabilizer today. Noticeable difference, ran on medium setting for a quick 25 mile trip. Happy with this one. Will probably wait to put 500 miles or so on the stock 4.11's before doing a regear. In the Central...
  11. Resolved. Mods please delete.

One of the best things with these forums is it is a good place for vendors to see what enthusiasts (who spend $$$) are experiencing and get both the kudos and occasional flamings. Like everyone, I have high expectations that things are going to go great with a purchase, but also know that poop...
  12. A simple tool to help with tire removal and installation.

As I get older and that dang ole Father Time keeps making things more challenging for me, I do appreciate these types of things. What I really need is something that will work in less than ideal situations like out on the road, trails, etc. At home I have one of these Tire dollies but in less...
  13. Lets see all those Gladiators with lifts and bigger tires!

AEV 2.5" DualSport RT, AEV Pintlers on 37 Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT's.
  14. Rear track bar options for 37's

I bought the Clayton before getting my 37's... Wanted to have all options open. The Clayton gives you the most options.
  15. How to keep the cruise control turned on

Reminds me of how long it took to get used to my 2014 Ram and the dial to set the transmission into gear. Took a while to make that muscle memory, and then annoyed the snot out of my wife when the first thing I did when getting in her vehicle to drive was turn the air conditioning fan up to...
  16. If you could have Gladiator in any color you want...

Yeah, patina is a tough one ... seems "all natural" is the only way to go, and a lot of the "all natural" doesn't look good. The airbrush/painted attempts to recreate it pretty much always fall short of what the (good looking to me) real thing looks like
  17. If you could have Gladiator in any color you want...

Fun thread - I've been dreaming about doing a resto-mod of an older pickup - love the 1950's short beds from nearly all the vendors from that era - and currently dig the look of the patina of what a ~70 year old truck has. Not sure how it would look on a modern vehicle, but would be interested...
  18. A novice installs AEV DualSport RT Suspension Kit - DIY writeup w/ photos

Thanks - yeah 190 was tough to hit, though I did pick up a 3 foot length of heavy pipe that I used as a cheater bar for the torque wrench. It took a long time, since with wheels on the ground I only had about 1 click's worth of room to move before hitting the ground with the bar. There were...
  19. A novice installs AEV DualSport RT Suspension Kit - DIY writeup w/ photos

Hard to say, it's all personal preference on how things look. 33's might look small, might look just right. My wife's JLUR in the pic is on 33's, though the perspective probably doesn't show well since it is so far behind the JT with 37's.
