IIRC, the Mojave and Diesel have the same hood/cowl setup. So anything that fits the diesel should also fit the Mojave. Mopar sells brackets specifically for the Mojave / Diesel. Check out this forum post https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/mojave-cowl-lights.33834. Here's the Mopar...
I also came from a Ford that just included this stuff. I refuse to pay for XM Guardian, or XM Radio for that matter. Though something they don't like to advertise, the crash detection will trigger a call the XM and they will call emergency services on your behalf even without the monthly service...
I definitely don't think it's normal, but it is what it is for mine and none of the dealers I've dealt with thus far have had any interest in actually trying to fix it. The first place told me I was just wrong and that's how Jeep's drove refused to even acknowledge they were wrong when I dropped...
I tried this morning and as long as my butt was planted in the seat, no issues. Perhaps the occupancy sensors have a high cutoff, so if you're on the lighter side it's easy for the system to think you're not there when you lean too far to one side.
I drive around the parking lot all the time without my seatbelt on and I've never tripped the system. I've even done it with the door open to look down and haven't tripped the system. I think people are making this out to be a bigger headache than it is.
Legit want to know why this is such a big issue for people. I had it kick in once and it was a good thing it did. I had hopped out of the car while it was in drive to pick up some garbage off the beach. I had set the handbrake but not the transmission.
Am I just missing a use case here where...
If you put larger tires on the car, you need to tell the car. Some scanners can do it, or ask the dealer. The odometer is just a counter, counts how many times the transmission spins, multiplies it by gear ratios and tire sizes to get distance traveled. If any of those multipliers are wrong, the...
35" tires are about 6" smaller in circumference than 33" tires. Works out to about 6% larger, but that really depends on the true diameter with inflation. Over-inflating could make them larger.
If I check the 20 miles vs 18.6 miles, that's about 7% error, which jives with the 33" vs 35"...
I assume the system has logs somewhere that can be accessed to determine if the system was triggered. I also have a dash cam hard wired to the ignition switch, so any time I'm running, it's recording. This means it should pick up the warning noises and me screaming "WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK, JEEP"...
I had my Gladiator do this once in stop and go traffic, going under an overpass. I turned off the auto-braking feature and left it to warn only. It has since gone off a few more times for no apparent reason. Occasionally, the adaptive cruise control will also slam the brakes, so I have to keep a...
