Made my own base plate for the bed yesterday. It’s not finished I still need to bolt it down. Before all that I need to do some sealing in the bed for dust and I’m thinking of carpeting the plywood. Give it a more cozy feeling. ?
For the wood I used 1/2” Baltic birch.
on another thread on here...
Thanks. Called all over and none of my local timber merchants have 5’x5’ but with the Molle panels 4x8 will be okay.
$156 a sheet for Baltic birch right now.
still a work in progress but here’s where I’m at right now
Did you do any kind of dust proofing of the holes in the bed for drains? I just got a cap and I'm thinking a plate like this would be good enough but not sure.
My Gladiator build is coming along nicely. Recently I got a Camp King Outback Canopy Camper installed and the battery set up. I was looking at the GFC tents because I wanted to keep this build as light as possible but there were a few things that I didn't like, such as everyone was complaining...
Thanks for the insight. I have two kids and can't do a seat delete and my youngest is sensitive to noise and they will probably stay in the car while I'm airing up. I already had the single compressor from my previous rig. I would have bought the double if I didn't already have it. Ive been...
well I got the compressor installed, hooked up and running. I think I'm going to do the 4XE charge port door mod for the air chuck. When I do that I'll probably get a different mount that doesn't touch the hood. So basically this is temporary. I hooked the switch up to the built in AUX 3 button...
Yeah I did loosen the blue clamp and it’s clocked for the most clearance and it’s still touching. I can close the hood now but it’s making an impression on the heat shield still. I’m going to find a T so that the pressure switch and air line have more clearance but the silver part for the air...
I already had the single compressor. So it's not like I just went out and bought it. With 37's" I would have bought the dual. But I'm asking the same question, "is the juice worth the squeeze." Mounted under the hood.
I just got a JCR under the hood compressor mount. It didn't really fit at first because it was sitting too high. Since I have sort of fixed it. Now the hood shuts but Its really compressing the heat shield on under the hood. My question is should I cut out a square to make it fit better or just...
