Most rubicon full take off suspensions go for like 200-300 and on the highest end I have seen fresh take offs towards 600-700, what makes the mojave set worth $2200? Is it really that much better than just going for a rubicon take off?
If I hadn't found my used 2021 overland for 43.8 with only 1600 miles on it, I would have absolutely been hunting down a willys. I couldn't have lived with the sport, as my wife and I need some of the luxury features, but I was ready to go all in on a brand new willys and just get leather added...
The dirtydog is for sure my top contender as well, some good discounts on it right now, but I hope someone who actually owns it can chime in on if they are able to install it with the rear hard top in place.
Worst case scenario I might just have to make my own, somehow
That's the thing, I really want to be able to easily and quickly install or remove the shade from the front whenever I feel like it, with only the freedom tops removed. Most of these sunshades cut down on headroom so I don't want to leave them installed all the time. Plus, I do prefer the...
So my wife bought me some Alien sunshades off of my gladiator shopping list for our anniversary, and I was really looking forward to them yesterday coming home from work, this thing is still new to me and I hadn't gotten to enjoy it to myself yet (I mostly work from home) so I took my freedom...
Honestly, if it wasn't so hard to get one I absolutely would have gone for a bronco. But between the challenge of getting what I want, the pricing, and the fact that I was coming from a truck, the gladiator was an easy choice, honestly.
Love some of the suggestions in this thread, btw...lots of...
Yeah, I actually just lucked out on my deal really. As much as I wanted to get a mojave or rubicon, I was not finding any deals on used ones, and new ones were just out of what I wanted to spend. Was close to considering a brand new sport altitude, but then I ran across my overland for around...
Had to return the floor liners and order a different set, the open box ones I got clearly had some damage on the drivers side.
Got brand new this time and they turned out great!
I have been considering going the sunrider route, but with how much my wife wants to take the entire top off it might just be easier to find a full soft top!
Got my oedro bed cover installed...was very wary due to some of the reviews and pictures I saw, but I have to say it totally exceeded my expectations for the price I paid. May have to add a bit of extra weather proofing, but nothing too difficult to deal with.
Got my bed cover and floor liners on today! With that, I have my main QOL modifications completed and I am ready to just enjoy the truck as it sits for a while...other mod ideas will come to me in time, I am sure
I have seen around 2 grand tossed around. I am in the same boat, I really can't afford a regear right now so my plan is to find some willys, rubicon or mojave take offs and run those until I can afford to regear.
Out of curiosity, is the spare the same tire/wheel or just the same size? Either way, I am interested but located out in the Houston area so would be a trip, if you still have them anyway
Took the full top off for the first time today in the later afternoon once it cooled off and drove the wife and kids around town running some errands. Was truly a fantastic experience, even as I was pulling in to the neighborhood my wife said "are we done already? I was enjoying this" so I...
As others have said in this thread, I have always welcomed someone to try and steal my vehicles; insurance is a beautiful thing and I will have my replacement nice and quick, if they asked I would just hand them the keys, why not? Not my problem anymore, they can deal with the consequences of a...
I absolutely love the looks of the Bronco, but I really did need the truck bed so it got ruled out. That, and having to wait so long that my trade in would have likely lost its value helped me just pull the trigger on the JT now.
I agree with everyone here that 35s are probably the way to go, but I am terrified of ruining how it drives, as right now it feels so surprisingly zippy compared to my old 2018 nissan titan pro4x, and that thing had a v8. I also worry about fuel economy, since we were already not super thrilled...
Made a bed liner appointment for tomorrow at 11, looking forward to getting this done so I can get my bed cover done this week and start to set up the bed how I would like it.
