so far this seems to be the consensus however it makes no sense why jeep would program an automated remote start system/function to operate based on the reading/signal from a sensor that isn't designed to be accurate or operate correctly while the vehicle is stationary. i still don't understand...
no reason to doubt its tied to speed somehow, but then one has to ask the obvious question why in the hell jeep would program an automatic startup function to a sensor that isn't designed to operate correctly on startup ie....a stationary vehicle.
has anybody asked the ECRI or TAZER people if...
the question/problem isn't based on NEED. it's based on the fact the thing isn't working right, can i live without it, sure but why the hell should i. i paid for it and it should work right.....to the other guys comment regarding price, it's actually completely irrelevant wether its a 20k car...
I've looked through my unconnect menu and I can't find that option. Do you have the 8.4 or 7 screen size, seems to be a lot of stuff the 8.4 set up offers the 7 doesnt?
Really.......you don't think spending 65k on a vehicle doesn't come with expectations that things should work right? That's nuts! We aren't talking about a few degrees,
Guaranteed thats not what is happening in my case. Otherwise the jeep would start with all the heaters on and it wouldn't turn them off till it was warmed up, the jeep is no where near warmed up when I get in it. Like I mentioned, my jeep sits outside and since this problem started the air...
I'm surprised nobody has even heard of a solution as it is seems to be relatively common. I really feel like a bitch complaining about these upscale ammenities in a jeep but like I said, for a 65k vehicle i expect shit to work right......
Ill probably call the dealer and see what they say. I...
I know mine is not retaining the temp from the last shut down. It hasn't been over 30 degrees for several days and the last 3 or more times it done this the temp has read between 42 and 53 degrees. Its not just on the morning starts either. The first time it did it was an afternoon start...
It is not engine temp throwing it off. It just did it to me again exterior temp reading 43 degrees, no heaters/warmers on when I got in it. Drove down road and temp changed to 28 degrees.
anybody else notice their exterior air temp reading incorrectly?
i've had it happen twice now.......i remote start my jeep and when i get it the exterior temp reading is at least 25 degrees off.
first time it happened.....a couple days ago in the afternoon around 2 p.m. actual outside air temp...
i had a pretty basic 2020 sport s, soft top, 6 spd manual, 3.73 gears. traded for a 2021 rubicon ecodiesel.
2 main reasons.....well 3 actually.
1. loved the original soft top until it stretched and flapped/vibrated almost constantly. fought with the dealer for almost 4 months to replace with...
my block heater is on the passenger side of the block (ecodiesel) so it was a straight shot and simplest to run it out the passenger side front . if yours is the gas 3.6 i have no idea where the block heater is located on those, guessing it's on the driver side if that's where your cord was...
