  1. Bought my first Jeep today

Congrats. You're going to have a blast!
  2. Jeeps n Dogs (on the trail advice wanted)

You should not have any trouble especially if she is crate trained at home. More power to you for having 3 kids and a dog and wanting them all with you. I get what others are saying about having their dogs in the cab but with 3 kids that really doesnt seem feasible. Sounds like temps won't be an...
  3. Jeeps n Dogs (on the trail advice wanted)

Does the smartcap have a pass through window with the cab? I would think a well secured crate in the bed would be the place to start but would want to be able to check on her. Also would need to be really careful about heat build up in the cap. Once she was adapted then a simple dog bed in the...
  4. Good Choices For Accessories

I would check out the Bak revolver tonneau cover. Solid fit and doesn't block your view when rolled up. Can't speak to any of your other mods.
  5. Question regarding adding tires to stock Mojave rims

Running this same tire and wheel combo for almost a year. Does great for me. Prefer them to the KO2 or the Falken though both of those are good tires. Personal preference on ride and noise Toyo is a better option.
  6. How to learn about the places we go

I know there is some but I have not explored it. Generally stay to the south and west parts of the state. Northern Virginia traffic is no joke.
  7. How to learn about the places we go

Love this thread. The west has a real abundance of opportunities. East coast is fun but much less open terrain to choose from.
  8. Travel trailer recommendations

I have the Taxa Mantis. 3000lbs empty. Low profile tows great lots of space inside for a 6'5" person. Check out the website @ Taxa.com.
  9. Shameful advertising

I know lots of folks have issues with quadratec but I generally get along fine with them. You usually know what you’re getting. So of course I. Get their promotional emails which I mostly ignore but today I decided I check a few of their advertised deals out. After clicking through a couple of...
  10. We bought a camper! (Towing question/help please!!!)

Congrats on taking the leap. Definitely go with the wdh. Autow brake is another option that the dealer may be able to hook you up with. Otherwise redarc is pretty easy to install if you aren't afraid to get under the dash a little. Your tongue weight should be 10% of the trailer weight...
  11. My Experience Towing with the 3.6L Gladiator Mojave VA to PA

Yes I put them on the stock wheels. No spacers no lift no problem. Road noise is much better than falkens that came with it though those were mud terrain and my toyos are at. Very happy with the ride. Note the Toyo tires I have are 11.5 wide which many 35’s are 12.50
  12. My Experience Towing with the 3.6L Gladiator Mojave VA to PA

Thanks for the post. I have about the same impression with my Mojave towing our camper at about 3000lbs. No lift but running toyo 35's.
  13. Stock Mojave on 35s? Or regear necessary?

I gotta say my mileage has never been good. Best I can do is 19mpg but usually run around 17.. No difference with the Toyo's. I guess my driving style is not very efficient. But I didn't get the truck for its economy so I don't complain.
  14. Florida KC 6" SlimLite”s LED

I’d do $200 if the wiring harness is intact mostly. Would need to have them shipped. Willing to pay for shipping.
  15. Stock Mojave on 35s? Or regear necessary?

I have toyo AT 35X11.5 on the oem wheels. No lift, no regear completely stock Mojave and it does great. I do occasionally tow and I don't notice any difference with the 35s vs. 33s.
  16. The Philistine thread - non-lifted Gladiators and not likely to be, either

They’re actually orange silicone covers. I think they’re called color lugs? Found them on a thread here in the last year. If I can find the link I will post. Didn’t like the chrome lugs and black were on back order everywhere at the time so I got these figuring they would be ok for a while but...
  17. The Philistine thread - non-lifted Gladiators and not likely to be, either

Bought the Mojave like others so I wouldn't need to lift any further for my needs. No rock crawling but plenty of forest service roads and beach driving. Did swap out to 35's.
  18. So, what is everybody towing?

Taxa Mantis. 3000lbs empty. No problem through Blue Ridge Mountains.
  19. Willys or Mojave

If your budget conscious and don't do any long road trips then the Willys is probably the way to go. Mojave is going to be more comfortable on that 5 hr(for me) road trip to the outer banks. Either will do fine on the beach though like the previous poster suggested, mud tires are not your friend...
