It should work. You'll just need to make sure you put the hoist into the studs and you're set. Maybe add a few 2"x6' boards to make it easier to mount. You'll run into the issue I have with my hoist that if you aren't paying attention while walking around you'll bash your head into your hanging...
You can and I have taken my soft top through the car wash, but Bestop doesn't recommend using the same cleaner you'd normally use on your car for their soft tops.
Had a VW Golf TDI previously and diesel fills up way different than regular gas. You really have to wait a while after you initially fill it up to let the fuel settle. Unless there is a weird thing going on maybe people just aren't waiting for the gas to settle before trying to top it off?
Don't have this issue with my 17 JKUR. I let the pump do it's thing, when it clicks I let it sit for a handful of seconds, and then pull the trigger until it clicks off again. Don't ever have an issue with the gas overflowing.
I believe they've already hinted at a Plug In Hybrid for the JL and JT. While not fully an electric vehicle it would be awesome for my 4 mile commute to work.
The problem with larger tires is they're normally wider. Narrow tires do far better in the snow. Obviously you can have larger winter tires, but I've found that I skid around in my JKUR way more than I did in my little VW Golf. Throw the Jeep in 4WD though and it's basically night and day.
This setup looks great. Only thing that seems odd to me is the rack on the truck bed is lower than the rack on the top of the cab. I think I'd prefer if they matched in height.
Watched a video last night and the guy at the LEER booth said that the projections for Gladiator sales were low. The sales have well exceeded the initial estimate so I'd guess we'll start seeing way more aftermarket products for the Gladiator next year.
A lot of these builds are hideous. Everything is made to be "extreme" or "aggressive" and it just doesn't do it for me, but there must be a market for it.
A popular youtuber stopped at the LEER booth in his last video and it was interesting to here what the guy there said. Basically the...
I've repaired my own windshields in the past and it's really easy. Kits can be bought all over. They've worked well for me and kept the crack from spreading. As stated in another post that your insurance will most likely pay someone to fix it for you. Most of the time the repair people just ask...
I've been looking for storage solutions as I had the top off more this summer than any and I hate having my golf clubs in my jeep out in the open. The Tuffy boxes limit the room so I think I'll be making a lid out of plywood and using the same bolts that you use to secure the hard top for secure...
Basically how it works for me with my JKUR in Wisconsin, but fortunately I have covered parking at my work so I can be a little more risky when it comes to having the top off. I currently have the Trektop NX and it's a PITA to take on/off completely. Probably upgrading to the NX Glide next year...
I'm actually liking that Gator color. It kind of looks like a darker Gobi, which is what I was wanting it to be. It's definitely not the green people were wanting, but I may have just changed my mind to getting a Gator Gladiator when I get one. Hopefully they come out with a deep green Gladiator...
That's a big one for me. I dislike the look of the current factory soft top when it's open. Plus it wouldn't fit in my garage like that so I'd have to close the top every time.
