A good friend of mine chose a TAB 400 Teardrop and heās completely satisfied with it. He uses a Chevy Colorado to tow it. Seems really well made and you can cook in it.
I used to use a Brake Buddy but tired of putting it in, taking it out. Switched to a NSA Ready Brake. Simple installation, no power required at Jeep, simple connect to cables when hooking up.
Cash is seldom needed any more except for perhaps side bets at the golf course. More and more I can pay for things with just my Apple Watch, no phone no wallet required.
ATMās/cash back purchases everywhere for those few times cash is required. I do typically keep an emergency $20 for well...
High cost, higher interest rates, high fuel prices, lower MPGās are all having impacts on truck sales. Many people opted for a truck to have something to haul stuff occasionally, but have since determined they donāt do that often enough to own a truck.
Regarding the Gladiator, unless you are a...
Roadmaster has a wiring kit that includes LED lights to be added to the taillights. No cutting of factory wiring. But you do need to drill a new hole in each taillight. Totally isolates the towed wiring.
Take a look at Hopkins Towing Solutions. They provide plug and play wiring harnesses.
Iām towing with a 31ā Newmar Bay Star Sport, with a Ford F53. The Jeep is just under the receiver hitch rating, and 5-600 lbs under the GCWR. Took it to Asheville the other week and all good.
most states, as I recall, requires an aux brake system if whatās being towed is over N pounds (N varies...
So I called the local Jeep dealer whom Iāve used many times over the years and not just for jeeps. I told them I got the letter and verified mine was leaking. So we set a date to get it fixed just a few days from now. I asked if they had the required parts. She put me on hold and when she came...
I second the NSA Ready Brake or Ready Brute Elite (if you donāt already have a tow bar). Either one eliminates the need for power at the Jeep while towing.
I already had a Roadmaster tow bar and Roadmaster baseplate so just needed the Ready Brake kit. Simply insert the Ready Brake into hitch...
Got my letter yesterday. Checked and itās leaking. Iāll call on Monday to see about getting it fixed. Mines a ā21 I bought in June of this year with only 10,500 miles.
Try to sell it as is , you might get lucky and find someone who shares you concept of what a Jeep should be. Otherwise take it back to stock or as much as you can. Dealers donāt want modified vehicles.
I heard that the 2024 systems will support wireless CarPlay and Android as well. I was surprised my 21 Gladiator didnāt have it. However I can connect my iPhone to the unit via Bluetooth and it works well, just not the greatest interface.
For your average truck buyer, the Gladiator is a tough sell. Letās be honest, itās not the best looking truck out there, not the most powerful. The Gladiator appeals to those that already appreciate the Wrangler brand, Wrangler capabilities for customization, and off roading capabilities.
My...
Iāve bought multiple cars from CarMax and yes they can be a bit pricey, and trades are usually low ball, especially if youāve modified the vehicle.
I was going to trade my ā15 Wrangler for the Gladiator but it had beef used as a towed car behind my motorhome. My youngest son who is a buyer for...
I just bought a 2021 Willys from CarMax here in SC. Only had 10,500 miles, plenty of packages, bed liner, folding bed cover. Price was $43k. Had it shipped from TN, came in 4-5 days sooner than they said.
drove it bought it.
