I re read the original post. I think I am supposed to put the jack behind (toward the rear of the vehicle) of the pinion (the 4 to 6 inch wide silver part), jack it up a little, and then push up on the pumpkin.

Perhaps the jacking point is further forward up closer towards the drive shaft?

I saw your post after I had given up yesterday and was going to start fresh and try it today. I hate to be ultra dense but where is the pinion? Is it directly In front of the diff cover (towards the front of the vehicle)?

Should have read maybe I should release the emergency brake or jack up the tire a slight amount.

Tried the ratchet strap and a friend pushing on the tire. Neither worked. Maybe because I set the emergency brake. I o dear if I should release the brake and or jack up the tire a slight amount. P.S. I got the lca bolt in part way but it goes in crooked and will Not go thru all the way. Or...

Sorry, it is early in the morning and I did not carefully read your post. I see you are using a 2 ft Firestik. Is the quadratic mount the one which is a dual mount?

What is the length of your antenna? Does it work well with the spring?

Have prImered and rattled canned mine and am now ready to install. Once I loosen the LCA bolt and then move the LCA out of the way, will there be a problem in terms of lining the LCA back up to put the bolt back in? Will I have to loosen the shock side bolt in order to line back up the LCA?

If I am reading this correctly, the fron frame lca is torqued to 190 and the rear to 185. I wonder why they are torqued differently (although the difference is relatively small).

Thanks. Which spring, heavy duty or medium duty? I have the normal weight (as opposed to the light weight) fire stick and I am thinking about adding the heavy duty. Also, I have both the 3 ft and the 4 ft antenna and I think I am going to run the 3 ft.

How did the JTs with lifts and bigger tires do vs. the stock JTs. Do you have a recommendation as to any after market skid plates. I have a JTR with a 2.5” lift and 37s and I am considering whether or not also need any after market skids. I do not plan on any hard core rock crawling but...

BlackDog, just got my Rusty’s LCA frame side skid plates. Have test fit Them and the holes appear to match although I have not taken out the LCA to make sure. I assume that once I get the LCA out of the way a wrench will fit on the inside nut in order to tighten them, correct? Also mine came...

Will probably order the Asfir oil pan/ engine skid. Are you thinking of also ordering their transfer case skid?
