I would prefer the lower winch Rock Hard alu bumper but the shop had this one on the shelf at a good deal. Shipping rates to the west coast now are a killer. Called Rock Hard and they said the high mount would not be an issue with the 3.6. Not going to overthink this.

When the ESS is working does it actually use the starter to start? I would prefer to just let the thing function as designed but want to know what to do when a battery dies besides call a tow truck. Digging into the the Aux battery when the thing is dead somewhere is a bad idea to me. There...

Some one should have told the JT designers that batteries do fail. When they fail on a JT in the middle of no where there should be an easy way to deal with it. But it's not easy. Even the use of an emergency jump battery might not work. Would be great if Jeep would have some kind of emergency...

I installed a Rock Hard full width alu and my factory fogs are also exposed. Called Rock Hard and they said the lights are made to be underwater so don't worry about it. I'll probably fab something to protect them from any physical damage. In the factory bumper they go underwater with no issues.

So mudflaps make the cab quieter? I did hear that they add HP and MPG also.

Seems like a good idea to get a good emergency jump start Li Po battery and always have it ready. That way you can get home and change the batteries yourself.

I got the 4 bolts torqued down the 35 ft lbs but it sure seems like a lot of pressure for those 4 bolts. The only place the bumper is bolted is at the front of the frame rails. I'll have to give it a good test pull and see if there is any movement or flex.

When bolting it to the bed a large size plate, top and bottom would be a good idea to spread out the pressure. Caps built but no way to mount it to the bed that doesn't void warranty, cool, is that a plan.
