I’ve begun noticing 2 new problems. They don’t happen regularly enough that I’ll be able to demonstrate them.
The first occurs when driving on a bumpy surface at highway speed. The wheels wobble as you’d expect on a bumpy surface, but the wobble doesn’t stop even after getting to smooth road...
My bed lights don’t work and I think my next step is to remove them to make sure the were re-connected after the bed liner was sprayed in.
It look like there’s a slot in the top for a screwdriver, but twisting screwdriver in there feels more like it will break it.
Am I barking up the wrong tree?
By the way, if you want an economical way to turn off the license plate lights while backing up, you can turn off the headlights while you’re backing up.
I don’t have too much problems backing up other than backing up my winding driveway at night. There’s usually not too much contrast between...
This might be kind of a dumb question, but I notice that Oracle also sells high power bulbs for the existing back-up lights.
Will those give me substantially more light than the stock backup bulbs, or do I need to go for the bumper lights?
(I know, I’m being cheap :)
I can’t see a thing in the backup cam when backing up in the dark.
Even if I turn off the headlights to decrease the glare from the license plate lights, I still can’t see.
Are there any recommendations for brighter bulbs to cast a little (lot) more light?
I’m exploring this option since I’m kind of a fix it right once kinda guy.
$1500 is just the clutch, right? Those of us without the skills you have are looking at another grand in installation costs too, right?
Yes, my clutch works fine - for now. From what I understand, the problem is that the pressure plate can fly apart and damage surrounding stuff (and probably leave you stranded)
I called my dealer today to schedule an appointment for them to do the clutch recall. They told me that the recall has been delayed because the fix Jeep had didn’t really work and they’re waiting for a new solution from Jeep.
Had anyone else experienced this?
My gladiator needs to go in for the clutch recall.
Since it seems like kind of major surgery, I am in search of the dealership in Maryland with the best service department, or the best independent mechanic, who could install an aftermarket clutch.
Any suggestions are appreciated
I know, I know, I’m spoiled -
To unlock my Gladiator, the unlock button on the fob has to be pressed. I noticed some newer gladiators have a button on the door handle to unlock the door while the fob is still in your pocket.
Does anyone know if there’s an upgrade path for the earlier Gladiators?
My wife’s Honda has similar glare. I don’t know why manufacturers don’t address this.
I get the regulation requiring license plate lighting, but it sure seems unnecessary in reverse. I’m thinking if you’re in a situation where a police officer needs to see your license plate while you’re...
