  1. Steering Wobble Mystery

Check torque on all fasteners, including upper control arms that have heat shields you have to mess with to get to. My front lower control arms at the frame side have to be torqued like every 30-60 days for some reason. I found bad rod ends on the OEM track bar and drag link. Ball joints...
  2. Lift guidance

I would not go Ready Lift personally. The rear uses a spacer instead of springs, it doesn't come with a rear track bar, and the control arms are not adjustable. I have (had?) this lift that was installed by the dealer. I replaced the springs and got rid of the spacers. Replaced rear and...
  3. MetalCloak to the rescue...Greg's '23 Willys JT

I've been moving all my parts over to MC as I can afford. I had clearance issues with other brands and should have gone all MC first. Lesson learned.
  4. Interior footwell lights on at night.

And you may be able to program them do turn off with the doors, not sure. Check in your settings on the head unit.
  5. Interior footwell lights on at night.

They stay on. But you can dim or turn them off with the dial next to the interior lights dim.
  6. 35 x 12.5 tires on factory Willy's wheels - Costco says NO...

That is what they wanted me to do. I'm not doing that. WAY easier to go somewhere else.
  7. 35 x 12.5 tires on factory Willy's wheels - Costco says NO...

I got tires at Costco once. Once. They fought me because the tire size wasn't listed on the door. I'm not arguing with a Costco tire tech about what I do with my vehicle. Go to Discount. They know what they are doing and will price match Costco or anyone else.
  8. SOLVED - Help with ABS issue - anyone had to something similar. Looking for ideas

I've had the same issue. It comes up when wheeling. Messing with the wire stops it so I've had the same thought. Just haven't had time to fix it.
  9. HELP - Issues popped up - Serv 4wd, ABS, Traction Control, Electronic Stability Control...

I have the same intermittent issue that just started. Started after I did ball joints a month ago and only starts up after flexing out when wheeling. It absolutely appears to be related to the wheel speed sensor. When I mess with the wire for the WSS on drivers front it goes away. I will be...
  10. WINCH AND MOUNTING PLATE

That what it took me too.
  11. Gear ratio poll for 37” tires on 17” wheels 3.6 gasser

I feel that 4.88s are adequate, but if I did it again, I might go 5.13s. I feel like there is room. I don't see 8th constantly on the highway.
  12. Leaking axle seal?

This! WTF? Thought this was exclusive to Nissan. Also this!
  13. Need help with CANBUS system what to look for next I’m at a loss, please help

I could be wrong, but if you had chewed wires already, I will bet you find another one or two. This is coming from someone that has now dealt with 12 damned rodent attacks in the last 3 years. Every time I think I have checked everywhere, I eventually fine the missing one. I have repaired...
  14. Cracked top on brand new 2024 Gladiator Nighthawk

Tell me which manufacturers haven't had issues. Edit: Toyotas from that age range had a recall to replace the frames that were made of cheap steel and rusted to nothing. That's not as bad as a hard top crack?
  15. Rear axle grinding noise?

How many miles you have on that? 3 thou backlash after break-in and wear is crazy tight. Wonder where it sat from the factory.
  16. Cracked rear sway bar mount bracket

Don't think so. Mine bent slowly over a few trips and I have no damage on the link ends. Stock vehicles a) flex less and b) are less likely to be driving harder trails. I added the MC bracket. The stock mount is stupid. Bent and tack welded mount that holds a rivnut is about the worst...
  17. Cracked rear sway bar mount bracket

The stock part. Not the MC.
  18. Cracked rear sway bar mount bracket

Put those in as well. Engineering fail on that part.
