  1. Major tire wobble and cure

Dude, you haven't had them balanced in 2 years? Start there, hopefully that helped. I had a balance done and went wheeling for a week in CO. Had a shimmy on the way back and went back in for a re-balance. They claimed they were all off at least 4 oz. If you wheel, it is really easy to chunk...
  2. Major tire wobble and cure

I just went through and corrected some wobble. Got to DW for a bit. Ended up being several loose items that all added up. The last thing I fixed was ball joints. Mine showed no play when using a big pry bar under a lifted tire, but they were absolutely toast when I finally pulled them...
  3. Bolt on long arms,,, really

Looked at that too. I will probably weld them on if I go that route. I don't like bolting on stuff like that either.
  4. "Do I REALLY need to re-gear for 37s?" - Yes. Yes you do.

That's for sure. 37s are a big jump though, both in size and weight. I am on 4.88s and it drives fine, but I could have gone a touch deeper probably. I would honestly go 5.13s if I did it again. I'm also looking at going bigger than 37s after the axles are beefed up.
  5. Bent rear swaybar link

I did the same, and also after I messed up the mounts. This is a Jeep engineering problem. Those are not spot welded nuts like I had read. They use rivnuts that pre pressed into a think steel bracket that is spot welded on the bottom. Absolute joke of a solution and I am disappointed. But...
  6. Ground hum with stock stereo

55k or so. Not sure what you mean by tune up.
  7. Ground hum with stock stereo

Bummer no one else has seen this. I will probably temporarily remove my Voswitch and winch just to check. Those are the only additional connections I have made. I have a feeling I will be checking every ground in the electrical system.
  8. Rodent Damage Fuel Injector wiring harness

I would fix that in a heartbeat. That's no big deal. I have done 10 repairs in the last 24 months on 4 total vehicles. Harnesses are wound through the rest of the wiring/hoses/intake and are taped and zip tied. They are usually a pain in the ass to get out. I use heat shrink that has glue...
  9. Ground hum with stock stereo

I have been noticing a loud ground hum/whine with the stock stereo. Happens even with the head unit "off". Absolutely worse when throttle is applied and goes away when coasting downhill. The more engine load/throttle, the worse the noise. It is absolutely through the speakers. Wondering if...
  10. 40"s on a Non-Rubicon/Mojave with -18mm Offset (Pic Request & Fit Info)

Yeah they look good. I really like them and was going to go that route but found the Firestone Destination MT2 on sale at Tire Rack for under $250 each. Couldn't pass that up.
  11. 40"s on a Non-Rubicon/Mojave with -18mm Offset (Pic Request & Fit Info)

Looks like Discount aired them up to rock hard 45psi like they just did my new tires. The contact path looks like you are missing the edges. I wish they would set them to actual usable pressures. Every time I have them rotated or balanced, they reset them. Usually even if I ask them not to.
  12. death wobble and tire balance

FYI, Dampener is never the cause. It only covers up wobble from another source. Once more item I forgot is the steering box. There are 4 bolts there that need checking as well.
  13. death wobble and tire balance

My DW became light wobble and is now gone. #1 control arms take lots of torque, it is easy to not hit the values. #2 Track bar bolt holes have lots of room to move. It needs to be really tight or even better, replace with larger hardware. #3 My drag link rod end were bad at 40k and could see...
  14. What in this Jeep is spying on us?

GM was literally caught collecting and selling data. TX is suing. Most of your data anywhere is being collected and sold. I have no idea how anyone doesn't believe or understand that any more. Privacy is underrated and people really need to pay more attention.
  15. Anyone measure a KO3 yet? My Wildpeaks are undersized!

In all seriousness, if you want tires that measure actual 37" tires, look at the data sheets. You may actually need 38x12.50s.
  16. Anyone measure a KO3 yet? My Wildpeaks are undersized!

That's why oval tires are the best.
  17. Anyone measure a KO3 yet? My Wildpeaks are undersized!

True. I can't say that I have even seen the manufacturer's spec sheet that claims actual diameter of 35 or 37". I really doubt that metrics are any more accurate.
  18. 2023 Jeep Gladiator - Undercoating?

I have been very happy with fluid film. Have to apply every fall, but it is pretty cheap. Takes me about 3 cans per vehicle. I have a couple gallons, but the spray can is just so much easier. Think they are like 8 bucks each
  19. Talk me off the ledge…

I don't like exceeding 65 and I won't exceed 70. I have have thrown tread on trailers twice and had wheel bearings go out twice over the years.
  20. Mojave Rear Locker in 4H only??

I have not been able to engage it in 2wd either. 4hi is fine with long press first, but 2wd also gives me the message to shift into 4wd with Off Road + button.
