Yeah I've heard of fitment issues as well as excessive plastic waste still intact requiring a decent amount of prep to get installed. Dropping $500+ on it, I fully expect the thing to be ready to go with today's injection molding tech.
Have you received the snorkel yet? I hear a lot of grumbling over the quality. I wouldn’t mind either the low, side entry design or going with the Hauk one.
Which reminds me, can anyone confirm if the Hauk one has the stupid “River Raider” stuff plastered all over it? Or is it just black...
Sorry to answer for the guy, but I bookmarked a few things on the subject as I’ve planned to do the same.

Got my FireStik mounted up along with the FM/CB splitter. Radio comes in great and should have my Uniden CMX760 delivered in the upcoming days. One antenna for both is nice!
I have to say, it was difficult getting in there. Getting the grommet in was the most difficult thing as stupid as it sounds. I could only find one place to mount the box down by the carpet behind the kick panel. Just enough reach to get to the factory antenna plug point.
So I gotta know. How did you get the OEM antenna through the firewall? The 90 degree brace right at the grommet is a bear. Short of breaking the thing... how??
Yep, I also got the Rugged Ridge kit. I would have liked to have sourced some of the items separately, but I wasn't able to find a mount for the antenna on its own; only within the kit that has everything. A bit more expensive than I would have liked considering what you get, but I'm also on...
This thread would suggest that rarity is in order of...
Gobi
Hydro Blue
Punk'n
Black
Gator
Granite Crystal
Billet Silver
Bright White
Firecracker Red
Sting Gray

Cool to see! I just got the same setup with a 2' Firestik delivered yesterday. Still no CB (F&*K Fry's Electronics by the way - don't ever do business with them), but I figured I could at least hook the rest up. Mine is a Sting Grey to boot.
Anything goofy with the installation? I imagine...
M3 was great living in north Georgia with quick access to some of the best roads. But we've moved to north Florida and that car would be effectively pointless down here :giggle: Regardless, some dim wit teeny bopper snapping her face off jumped in front of me going about 60 or so while she was...
@busstees Super fun cars! I certainly will get another. Mine was a 2011.75 E90 M3 6MT slicktop stripper car with no options. Miss it every day (still my desktop actually)
I see for the Colorado that they offer various types of racks and cross bars (including Thule or Yakima). I'd be interested in the load, too. Roof top tent capable?
