Surprised these haven't been posted yet. U can see it's still JK interior but probably the best look yet of the grill, suspension, and spare tire mount.
Wearing Falken Wildpeak A/T tires. I think the other mules were wearing Goodyears.
@vgeh so it's been 3-5 weeks. Any more info ? I assume you are involved somehow and have more than just the corrected volume projection. Is the JT really being delayed until late 2019 production?
Agreed. It almost looks like you could lift the front wheels if you put a heavy load towards the rear of the bed LOL. :facepalm:Gotta wonder if this is the production version. The very first set of pics showed a Ram bed so maybe they are still testing different configurations.
Pretty trick suspension (Dynamic Suspensions Spool Valve (DSSV) dampers) is technology from supercars, but still not solid axle like the JT will be. So while it'll ride smoother on roads than the JT, it still won't have the off road capability that the Wrangler Jeep will have.
Good eye. From this photo it looks like you're exactly right.
Makes it look much more unique and aggressive with that cut line IMO and less like just a JLU with a bed attached.
Can you explain what "considering the product and market timing" means?
Hopefully doesn't mean that the JT won't really have the capabilities of its medium sized pickup competition. Does market timing mean that it's coming into a competitive market with new medium sized pickups on the way...
We know the JL and JT are getting aluminum doors and hood, but I hope the JT bed isn't also getting an aluminum bedfloor like the F-150. I'd gladly take on the extra weight of a steel bed to avoid having an easily damaged bed like this.
Toyota has released a teaser of the new FT-4X concept that it is going to debut next month in New York Auto Show. While we only have a look at its rugged wheel, right now we can only speculate that it's a new SUV/ truck concept.
"FT" stands for "Future Toyota" and "4X" basically implies that it...
Any chance for something like this in the JT pickup (powered or non powered)? Not a bad idea...
The F-150 is possibly getting a powered sliding platform in the bed to easily access cargo and to serve as a worktable...
Nice work adding your own custom touches to the garage. Much cleaner garage than most too!
Still renting so don't have my own garage yet this gives me something to aspire too. Does the Wrangler get parked inside?
We'll be able to tell if that's the case when we see if they do/don't pull the Ram 1500 and Grand Cherokee diesel models until MY2020 since that should be the same engine going into the JT/JL.
Oh man bummer! Only silver lining here is this hopefully means a more polished and issue free product. They'll have 2 years of JL/JLU production under their belt after all.
Just looking back at these pics and not only do the fenders not line up well (tires stick out way too much) but the wheel wells shape and position aren't right either. And still can't believe we haven't gotten a second more updated prototype sighting yet :(
F-Series truck sales rose 8.7% last month (best since '04). And so far this year (in just 2 months) Ford has sold 123,951 F-Series trucks, up 10.4%. I'd say truck sales are still pretty hot
