Alright finally got the measurements right, threw it in the oven for a few minutes then placed her on the light.... Works great! This is just a test piece and isn't the same filament that I'll be using... Therefore it isn't very transparent... Also the light body is just a test piece...

Little update.... No pictures yet While thinking about what to do with the lens, I was going to purchase a new laser that could cut them.... I was going to do this because I was thinking 3mm thick lens should be pretty flexible... Even though it's supposed to be a curved lens I could easily cut...
  9. Building my own flush tail lights

  17. Building my own flush tail lights

Lens should be fine, I'm using poly carbonate. Keeping water out I plan on gluing it in with silicone so I think it will be good.... I redesigned the entire thing today... New prints should be a lot cleaner and a lot better fit of the lens
  18. Building my own flush tail lights

Here's a ruff draft... I haven't cleaned it all the way up yet (remove all the debris from the supports ) the Easter egg jeep looks like it's blowing smoke off the tires lol. But the ASA filament looks really great. The lens is the best I've done so far, but the one printing at the moment I...
  19. Building my own flush tail lights

In Actually purchased the biggest affordable resin printer for the tail lights... All I can say is, I want nothing to do with resin lol. Stinky, nasty, and for the high temp resins it was going to take 48 hours to print a tail light because of the exposure time required to harden the high...
