Let's face it, I'm sure we both get a lot more use out of our gladiators. I'm too scared to go anywhere in the cars. Always worried about people parking next to them and hitting them with their doors, or people sitting on them to take pictures... Too stressful lol

Volcano red :-) Always loved the 650s. Hmmmm a Lamborghini??? Your garage is a lot more beautiful than mine. I live on a horse farm and converted the horse stalls to a garage lol.
  3. Building my own flush tail lights

Well you ruined that for me, now all I see is dodge Durango and Dakota . Lol thanks for the laugh :-)
  4. Building my own flush tail lights

Lol, well I have a 3 car garage... The other vehicles are more important :-)
  5. Building my own flush tail lights

Some new lights I have coming to try out this week. Some even have sequential turn signals and fancy start up animations.
  6. Building my own flush tail lights

Unfortunately there is no flatness to the blank to be able to put a light. You would literally need a 1 " wide light strip to be completely flush. That's why all my designs have the lights protruding out and not completely flush.
  7. Building my own flush tail lights

So you would just want this?
  8. Building my own flush tail lights

Yes I already have side markers in hand. Just haven't installed them. Have to measure and figure out exactly where to put them. Each side will have 2. These are what I will be using on my personal vehicle and what I have in hand. Meerkatt (Pack of 50) 3/4 Inch Small round Smoked Lens Red LED...

I could easily do that... So far they are all using generic lights... The lights I am currently using are these kemimoto UTV Chase LED Tail Light, Chase Brake Light Bar with 5 Modes(Strobe, Courtesy, Reverse, Running, & Brake) Compatible with Polaris RZR Ranger Can Am Maverick X3-1.75'' to 2"...

Well the filament that I used in the last pictures, it got soft in direct Florida sun and began to warp. So have to use either, abs, asa, or poly carbonate so that it can withstand the heat of the sun .
  11. Building my own flush tail lights

A few pictures for today The first picture , I didn't realize it but the sun had already began melting my print, so it was warping away from the body of the truck. Have to use a better printing filament like abs, asa , or poly carbonate .

You're absolutely right, I need to use ASA, sorry never researched it before. Same as abs but stable in UV light. Sounds perfect, and can still be smoothed with acetone. I really appreciate your input! Thank you very much

Working on smoothing the print now... It is getting very shiny lol.
  14. Building my own flush tail lights

So I think this is my favorite. Not sure if it will fit in the hole of the gladiator. I'll have to take some measurements.
  15. Building my own flush tail lights

I was thinking about buying one, but when factoring in spending $1500 for a kit to build, when you can purchase a completed machine for the same price that prints as fast, I chose just to purchase another one. But at least you know every piece of your printer. I feel like I know every piece of...

Very cool design. I made adapters for the Hummer h3 to use 7 inch jw speaker/ jeep headlights. Put them on thingiverse for everyone to have them... Not much longer after that I find a place selling a modded version of the adapters. You live you learn... Never been in this for money...
  17. Building my own flush tail lights

Right now I'm trying out pvb. Main reason I will use either it or abs is so I can smooth it with (pvb) alcohol or (abs) acetone... This will be a lot quicker than sanding and painting. I will have a new printer at my house Monday that is equivalent to a bamboo labs x1 carbon
  18. Building my own flush tail lights

Yes these lights work fine because of the width. These lights are what the combat off-road gunner lights come stock with... So yes these will work with the oval trailer light version no problem.
  19. Building my own flush tail lights
