  1. Building my own flush tail lights

I'm actually using my old faithful sidewinder x1 for the carbon prints at the moment. My qidi x plus 3 has been a big headache so far, but I think I will have it all dialed in soon. I'm not going to sell any of the STL files for now. I just don't trust the world. I wouldn't even sell them to a...
  2. Building my own flush tail lights

Hmmmm not sure I can make that happen. Only because as soon as this wire has power it strobes.... Where as the tazer will send a strobe pulse to the light. So I can't pull the signal from the tazer and run it to this wire unfortunately. I mean I could but it still wouldn't flash in sync...

So the lights I'm currently using, have a strobe function. Right now I have the strobe wire hooked up to the reverse lights to get peoples attention when backing up. What are some ideas that others might want with the strobe function? I'm assuming some might want the strobe to happen upon...

The combat offroads gunner tail lights, their side markers blink with blinkers. They wired like I said I would have to, if it was a requirement.... I can still do this if it makes everyone happier , but will require more testing.

Well I used to work for Florida DOT and I approve of them :-) On a serious note, when I produce the trailer tail light version, or the other versions they will all have DOT approved inserted lights.

I completely understand this and really appreciate your input. Plan is to get about 2 sets out to people as beta testers. Then do a list with deposits.

Thank you, that saves me a wiring nightmare lol. Otherwise I would have to run a resister to the side markers for when the running lights are on to reduce their voltage making them dimmer and let the blinker go with out a resister to give them full voltage brightness while blinker is activated.

  12. Building my own flush tail lights

Right now the cost for a pair of tail lights cost me around $175 to make. That's with out my time of doing anything. Like soldering up the wires, sanding, painting...... Production wise I would like to be able to produce 4 lights a day. Which would be 2 sets of lights. If I sell a pair at...
  13. Building my own flush tail lights

Yeah that's crazy... Trying to find no hyper flash adapters for the JT but I guess they don't make them. They would be around $20 to $30 for 2. I have also found where I can get the physical lights for almost the half price. I can bulk order in a minimum quantity of 16 lights for a total...
  14. Building my own flush tail lights

Yes that is correct... Looking for connectors , so far the best I can find is from oracles adapter to run their rear fog lights to tap into reverse signal. These adapters are $27 a piece it looks like...

The ones that are on my truck right now took : 1. Sanding with 80 grit to get all the layer lines gone asap. Then working my way up to 320 grit. 2. After 320 grit I filler primed it. Sanded back with 320, filler primed again, then sanded up to 1000 grit. 3. Then I painted 3 coats , and baked...

  17. Building my own flush tail lights

So I have went crazy orderings printers lately. I have 3 more coming this week. What I think I will end up offering are 3d printed versions that are printed in carbon fiber filament. The carbon fiber filament leaves a matte finish but with a manufactured look to it. Can't see layer lines...
  18. Building my own flush tail lights

I need to look into this. At the moment, it says my turn signals are out. I'm sure I'll be able to fix it. I'd rather have it where no one has to use jscan or tazer to fix the problem.
