Tazer has a function to make the 3rd brake light strobe a set amount of times (0-20) as well as speeds (fast, medium, slow, up (strobes slow ->fast) down (strobes fas -> slow) and random)

It would be cool to get the strobes in sync to do a quick few flashes like an ambulance does.
Hmmmm not sure I can make that happen.

Only because as soon as this wire has power it strobes....

Where as the tazer will send a strobe pulse to the light. So I can't pull the signal from the tazer and run it to this wire unfortunately.

I mean I could but it still wouldn't flash in sync, because the strobe wire would already flash at its strobe pase... But would turn off and on with the tazer 3rd brake pulse lol...

Hope that is understandable

Looking forward to seeing the pictures of the carbon fiber prints in a few weeks. Are you using one of the newer printers for the CF? I was looking into the Qidi X-plus which my 5 year old would probably enjoy having different prints and playing with. Would you be interested in selling a file? I’d sign a waiver, use to having 3rd parties sign in my business so they don’t use our CAD files.

I'm actually using my old faithful sidewinder x1 for the carbon prints at the moment.

My qidi x plus 3 has been a big headache so far, but I think I will have it all dialed in soon.

I'm not going to sell any of the STL files for now. I just don't trust the world. I wouldn't even sell them to a family member anymore.

In the long run, I don't even see me selling more than 10 of these. I will never get the money back that I put in. Especially if I am only advertising here on this forum.

I'm doing this for fun, might even start a business designing and printing prototypes for people.

As for a printer, get one. They are a lot of fun. But I would suggest going with a bambu labs p1p or a x1c. Pay a little more but I don't see any complaints online about them.

Or wait a few more months for the creality k1 , k1 max and see if it is a solid machine or not.

our jeeps have zero function to alert drivers to one side or the other that we're turning, unless you have the High Altitude model w/ the mirror blinker.

Edit to add: I guess it's not weird, but annoying that they placed a side marker light with no further function besides being in an "on" state.
I added an amber side blinker on the cowl. Once had a near road rage thing going on possibly because they didn't know I was coming over.

No worries. I would still be interested in a pair of the housings and then add the lights on my own.

Lol trust me I feel your pain. Printers are a pain, but once you get them dialed in they're pretty reliable. But I'm tired of dialing them in. That's why I'm hoping these bambu lab printers make it easy.

Here's some pictures of the carbon fiber filament printed

That looks amazing! Is that straight off the printer or do you need to sand them to get to that point? If that is no sanding that is just crazy how well they turn out. Have you found any tail lights that are rectangles and not angular?

That is straight off the printer with no sanding or any post processing.

The carbon fiber filaments all come out like this. This is petg carbon fiber. I'm going to let it sit outside in the Florida sun today to see if it gets hot and deforms. From my research outside in the Florida sun petg should be fine. But inside in a car can cause deformation. So we shall see. Petg is also very UV stable. Also easier to print with than abs and asa. ( No heated chamber needed )
