  1. Took Delivery of Your JT? Sign in Here!

I finally went to the dealer, found a nice white Rubicon fully loaded, took a test drive and that was it. Went back and bought it the next day for below MSRP a little. It's a great JTR and I'll leave it stock for a while till I decide what I really want to do. Got to remove the 60% portion of...
  2. Loans

So I get a loan for 2% and leave money in the bank earning almost nothing getting beat by inflation at 5+%. Might as well just write one check and be done with it.
  3. Jeep Inline 6 Engine to Debut in April

An I6 has 7 main bearings so very strong. Just great, I get ready to buy a Galdiator and they make it obsolete now.
  4. Loans

Found my perfect one on a lot, MSRP 64K and I get it for 62K. Credit union loan at 2% for 54 months and the dealer said he can do that out to 60 months. We'll see what happens. It's so much better than my modded JKUR it's another world. This one I'll leave stock and just wax it.
  5. Fixed my wandering and pulling to the right issues!!

With the CAD in front, the only time the front DS will spin is in 4x4 mode. So set the caster as needed.
  6. My G is tagged as commercial vehicle

My Ram 2500 2014 has a shell camper and always Com plates and no CDL ever. I tow a 31 ft TT like it's not there.
  7. Stock Diff Covers

The red ARBs have been around a long time with a great track record and they move the oil as it should be moved.
  8. Stock Diff Covers

One of my 1st mods will be some red ARB covers with lube lockers.
  9. Adaptive Cruise Control: yay or nay?

We should all have ACC. How can we be expected to think about what we are doing and keep our head out of our dark spot. Driver fatigue,,,LOL. Poor baby. I pull my 31 ft TT with my Ram diesel from McCall id to Bishop (660 miles)in a day in the summer. I suck it up and be a man. It's a Jeep, not a...
  10. From Modded '14 JKUR to JT Rubicon

Love the remote entry with the Ram. Remote start is great to keep it safe and cool for the pup. Anyone here go from a nice JKU to a JT and why?
  11. Overlanding fridge/freezer set up

Really a fridge over a 35 is as big as i need. My trips are all less than 7 days. I can get a Dometic 35 for about 825 delivered.
  12. Overlanding fridge/freezer set up

I want to get one for overlanding but just me and dog so a 35 or even a 25 woud work. So far looking at Dometic but ICECO is close. Won't spend over 800.
  13. Adaptive Cruise Control: yay or nay?

I just hope the ACC gives the driver behind it enough time to react and avoid a crash. I seldom use CC as i know how to let off the gas and slow down. Wait till all these auto cars are 10+ years old and the electronics are dying. Perfectly good cars will be scraped due to electronics and smog...
  14. My G is tagged as commercial vehicle

Going to add a shell anyway so might as well do it from the start.
  15. My G is tagged as commercial vehicle

I'll be installing a ARE shell ASAP so I get non-com and save $$$ every year.
  16. Didn't know all Gladiators are registered as commercial vehicles

calif taxes are high but there are many states that have high taxes and reg. Calif is south of 2 of the worst. If ya don't like calif, move to Portland or Seattle.
  17. Stiffer Springs(coils)/Heavy duty Coils

Lifting and ride quality can be a real pain. Stiffer springs and shocks along with more CA angle can transmit much of the bump into the frame and make for a stiff ride. Added weight for overland travel vs empty for home use, good luck. If you are going to go from 500-700 loaded to zero it's...
  18. Why not buy a full size truck for the same price?

I am single, no kids, just a big dog. I have a '14 Ram 2500 diesel loaded and a '14 JKUR totally modded out, Leather and everything inside, 4 inch OME springs, all Alpine arms, Adams front driveshaft, Rocksport shocks, Adj track bars front and rear, heavy bumpers and winch, Method rims and...
  19. Well I sold my Gladiator

My 14 JKUR is worth about $35K I am told. A new JT would be about $70-75K when done and get about the same MPG. Really not sure it's worth $40K to do it. I got the issues on my JKUR all worked out and there are some new ones with the JT. Good to have that money in the bank for now. If there was...
  20. From Modded '14 JKUR to JT Rubicon

Thanks for the positive vibes. I figure it's basically a JLU with a bed. Some differences in the axles, heavier. I pretty much know how I want it: White Rubicon Leather & LEDs Painted roof and fenders Remote start and keyless entry would be nice. I'll do my own bumpers and a small...
