  1. Programmer and ESS/Battery issues.

Well this is turning into a recall issue. No ESS due to low voltage could be a battery killer. Didn't pay $60K+ for something I have to keep on a battery tender. Where is Jeep Cares on this?
  2. 35s on stock rubicon rims

OK, I looked at the 315s next to mine and it's a done deal. Getting the BFG KO2s 315-70-17 C . soon for a little under $1500 for all four OTD. My Wild Peeks will be going to a good home.
  3. Auto Stop/Start Stopped working.

I charged mine with a trickle charger but still no ESS. While driving voltage shows low 12s to high 13s. So do I have to do the dance with the dealer,, it's all good,, then it's not and they replace the batteries.
  4. Auxilary Battery Died then Main Battery Died - Important Info

My ESS has not worked since new, 150 miles now. There is no warning on the screen. The on screen voltage reads 12.4 to 13.8. Everything works but the ESS. I guess I want to get it fixed. Then I can look for a way to turn it off.
  5. Engine oil -- what weight and brand do others use?

It says to use 0-20 so I will. Before 100K miles it will belong to someone else. At 70 years I have learned that nothing is forever.
  6. Deceptive Advertising (IMHO)

I bought a $60K vehicle because i wanted it. It will do 2X more than I will ever use. I don't care. It took me 2 hours to set the garage door opener for it. Everything I use on it works. It's got a 7 year warranty and when that's over my relationship with it will end.
  7. New product from Warn!

I've got a smittybuilt 9500 on the front of my JKUR (for sale) that has had a free ride for over 5 years now.
  8. 35s and No Lift Thread

went to my great local tire shop. He can do 4 315-70-17 BFG KO2s C rated for just under $1500 OTD and i have mine sold for $100 each to a good friend. Just do that and 1 inch spacer---- done. Run the factory rims and shocks. Will look really good without changing much. Not a warranty killer...
  9. 35s and No Lift Thread

A 1.5 spacer and 35's should lift the belly 2.5 inches. What is the limit on the factory Fox shocks. When you lift, ride quality usually goes down.
  10. 35s and No Lift Thread

The 8 speed trans has a 4.7 to 1 first gear that is lower than a JK with 4.56's. With 3.73's you won't see 8th much. So what is better off road, factory tires and 1.5 spacer lift,, or 315-70-17's factory wheels and no lift. ??
  11. New product from Warn!

Some one stole my Idea I had years ago. It's documented on the Wrangler Forum. How about a lightweight plastic red hi-lift jack to go with it? LOL
  12. Auxilary Battery Died then Main Battery Died - Important Info

The more I learn about this Jeep the more is scares me. My ESS has not worked since I bought it and I did a trickle charge on the main battery. Still not working. When it starts working I'll be trying to turn it off. LOL.
  13. 35s on stock rubicon rims

I like the BFG KO2 in 315-70-17 rated C. Great ride and quiet. But,,,, the Wildpeeks are nice and paid for with no issues. The BFGs or any other 35 is close to 400 with tax and mounting, getting only 100 for the WP's. The price of aftermarket rims is just stupid now. If you want a stiff ride...
  14. guys with 2.5" and 3.5" lifts

Today I bought the 7 year 75K extended warranty for $1100. It allows a 2 inch lift so I am limited. Street and highway ride is #1 so perhaps a 1.75 spacer lift with 35s will be my limit. No desire to do big rocks. Plenty to spend money on to get set for overlanding. Mojave road and Berrago area...
  15. Nobody waves anymore.

I'm just over it. You want to wave just get a CJ5 and go for it.
  16. Is the factory LED light upgrade worth it?

I put ProComp LEDs on my JK that were fantastic with a lifetime warranty.
  17. Steering Stabilizer question?

I spoke with a very well known and respected 4x4 shop here in the West today. They said they need more caster. That's what it feels like to me also. need at least 6 deg. and I agree. I'll see what it is at before I do anything. Adjustable front lower CAs are an easy fix to add caster. Who makes...
  18. First Five Mods (Mojave)

I only want to do things once so the suspension part will go slow. 1. ARE fiberglass painted to match shell camper. (ordered) 2. Weathertech floor mats. 3. Bedrug. This is where the order of things get in question. 4. 35s 5. Some type of small lift 2 inches or less. Don't really...
  19. Logical order of mods

Just bought a '22 JT Rubicon after a few years of modding a '14 JKUR with $$$$. I did the suspension more than once and don't want that to happen on the JT. I just ordered a ARE shell camper for it. I'll think about the suspension after I see where it is with the shell weight on it. I can get a...
