I had an 89 YJ in the 90ās when I was a junior enlisted guy and broke so it stayed mostly stock but we wheeled the shit out of it.
A 99 TJ in the 2000ās when I was a staff nco and had more money to play with.
2016 JKU on 37ās and Metalcloak lift when I was making big boy money in the real...
Anyone ran these for a while? I have ran rock sport reds, falcons, bilsteins, but havenāt messed with these. Iām in need of new shocks and Iām debating on biting the bullet and buying kings, or grabbing as set of these since I donāt exactly spend a ton of time running wide open in the desert...
Finally got off my butt and installed all my new front end parts. Iāve had no issues with it up to now (36k and been lifted it whole life) but Iāve got a trip to Moab and Telluride in a couple of months so I figured go ahead and beef it up now so I donāt have to search for parts out there.
36k...
Really? I was thinking you had to cut the factory upper mounts off for some reason. Iāll have to look now. Iād love to do this. My front end is completely finished and Iām happy with how it works so on to the back now.
I think Iām going to go for the RK kit in the near future. Iāll have to cut my artec truss off and weld the RK on but thatās not a huge deal.
The only thing that makes me sketchy on it is cutting off my factory mounts.
There is no going back at that point šš.
Headed to Moab on the 28th of May, stay for 3 days and then head over to Colorado and hopefully some of those trails will be thawed.
Later in the year Iāll head up to SMORR when we get a solid couple of weeks without rain, I donāt feel like going there when itās a mud hole.
Aside from that...

The underside of mine looks like a war zone š

I usually have at least 2 motorcycles, sometimes as many as 4 when Iām deep into addiction. Right now Iām Iām recovery and behaving.
Falcons fit fine, I ran them on my JKU with a metal cloak game changer. Aside from the top mount on the front, I see no differences in the suspension to the JT that also has a metal cloak game changer.
Patagonia 40ās, method 703 17x9 -12 with metal cloak game changer 3.5. I have 3ā of bumpstop front and rear. I could use another 1/2 up front and lose a 1/2 in the rear. Since that isnāt possible, I may go to a 4.5ā spring at some point because if I am stuffed hard and the tire is turned just...
My 40ās shake a bit between 50 and 60. Smooth as they can be everywhere else. Iām in Texas though and our speed limits are either 45 in the city or you better be doing 80 everywhere else so I can live with it.
