I didn't, even though I meant to. (Sigh). By looking at it, I figure that the front and black were lifted the ~exact same amount on my Sport S (stock bumpers, no winch), so the entire factory rake was preserved. It certainly doesn't need more lift for clearance on metric 35s, but if you're...
I paid $1525 for the Mopar 2in JT lift kit, by showing a parts guy at the dealership the mopar website. I then paid $825 for the dealership to install it including mounting and balancing new tires on new wheels. It took about a day and a half.
@River2016 - did you remove the entire air dam / "closure panel" in front yourself? Because of rubbing or aesthetics or both? Do you figure it impacted mileage at all?
I definitely am colorblind and I can tell that's not Gobi! I agree though @Discount Tire - it does look tough. Great looking ride @Coachcal .
So there are a few factors with larger tires.
Height. 33" height should not be a problem in terms of needing lift to fit them, even on a Sport. Any...
Yeah, the $80 tires were a freak deal, but the rest is mostly just being patient. Rubi take-off parts are often available - it would be very easy to grab Rubi shocks and springs in new condition from craigslist or facebook, plus the rails, and be a long ways for very little outlay.
Mopar 2" lift, Ion Series 171 17x9 wheels w zero offset, Kenda Klever A/T 315s:
More poke than I wanted, but I got such a good deal on the light alloy wheels that I couldn't resist!
What did you end up doing @mcd2484 ? I used a rear relocation axle-side bracket instead of a new rear track bar because apparently it a) raises the rear roll center and b) flattens the track bar, both of which are positive, in addition to centering the rear axle. I have the Mopar 2" lift and the...
Modification #10: $100 JT Rubi OEM Rock Sliders from Facebook Marketplace (plus some nuts and bolts)
This project was very easy and made a big difference in appearance. The Sports look like they are unfinished when they come from the factory - they should at least fill the holes with little...
Here are the shocks from a Mopar 2" lift kit purchased about a month ago. Looks like the same ones. The Mopar kit comes with Fox 2.0 shocks, taller springs, longer lower control arms, and longer sway bar end links. It lifts Sports noticeably more than Rubis or Majaves. It does NOT come with any...
