Finally found it, search for this discussion-US investigating 781K Jeeps over underhood fire reports (Wrangler & Gladiator) -- power steering pump electrical connector issue
Yes, there were discussions a while ago about a few trucks catching fire for an unknown reason. The p/s circuit and connector were suspected. In fact, I recall seeing a pic where some rodents actually chewed on the supply wires. I also remember a forum member's truck catching fire while...
Just looked at my 25 Rubicon. Appears to have a block off plate where FAD mounts. Research online says that some newer vehicles don't have FAD. Mine won't turn unless you jack up a front wheel.
But the main point still seems to exist:
They find enough parts to build new engines to stuff in new vehicles!
Customer service seems to have taken a major hit. IMO, it really started during covid.
Big truck turbo's were impossible to get. Electric transformers, etc. The list is endless...

Parted ways with the Mojave. I have a black diamond Best top sunrider that I no longer need. It's off a 21 Mojave Gladiator. I had it on for about a year. The jeep lived in the garage when I wasn't driving it. It is very good condition. I'm looking to get $300 for it. I don't have any...

Keep in mind that excessive rpms at cold temps could send the filter into bypass mode. This...
I love my Mopar hard cover. It was a pita since I didn't have the tool for the inserts. I ended up using plain old nuts and bolts. It has served my purposes well.
Zapper sounds like sound advice. According to the video, there is concern about further damage from metal in the oil. I'd weigh the cost vs. risk and try to fix what you have. Never had much luck with junkyard engines. The video was hard to see, but there doesn't appear to be much of a ridge...
