I wanted 35s and to keep the unsprung weight low for suspension performance, 8th availability, and gas mileage. The stock Falken AT weigh 63.7 lbs and the stock rim 25 lbs. I decided to go with 66.29 lb Nitto Ridge Grapplers in 35 x 11.50 size and mounted to stock rims. I see 8th gear a lot on...
Thanks for replying. I can’t hear it in the cab, but I do hear it if bounce up and down on the bumper. I’m wondering if it’s because I have silver springs.

Yes, stock rims, no lift. If you want something even lighter and less aggressive, try to source the Nitto Recon Grappler. That was my first choice and they showed them as available on Discount Tire's site, but not on Nitto's site. When Discount went to order them for me, they said they weren't...
I really like the Nitto Ridge Grappler in 35x11.50 size. They aren’t much heavier than stock, 63.7 lbs vs 66.29 lbs. getting 17 mpg 75% city and can get 20-21 on highway.
Just got this today and set it up in my driveway in 11 minutes just taking my time. I did watch some YouTube videos beforehand, but it’s really easy and I believe I can do it a lot faster with practice. I think the fit is very good and I’m happy with the quality. Can’t wait to use it in the...
I did a silicone spray and it literally lasted hours before the squeak returned. Went to homedepot and got the grease you suggested and it’s been quiet for three days. Hopefully it’s a long term solution. Are yours still quiet?
It absolutely rides better, softer. Pretty amazing. I imagine a 12.5” width would ride even better, but these weigh almost the same as stock and the gas mileage/performance hit is marginal. Weight plays a big role in my opinion.
They were not in stock so I went with Ridge Grappler. Only 2.5 lbs heavier than stock Falken AT3s and just as quiet. Went with 35x11.5. Got 0% financing and they bought my old tires off me for $500. I’m happy and they do great off-road. Also, mileage seems barely affected and the ride is more...
I feel like it rides the same, but at first I thought I felt the ever slightest wandering. Either it was in my head or it was so minor I adjusted to it. I’m pretty sensitive to that sort of thing, so I wouldn’t worry. I’m happy with them.
35x11.5 Nitto Ridge Grapplers. 2” taller and 3lbs heavier than stock Falken ATs. Recalibrated as soon as I left Discount Tire and when I hit the freeway I easily saw 8th, but I do detect it wants to downshift more. Actual tire spec says it’s 34.76. Tazer allowed me to enter 34.77. No lift and...
