It's been in my family since before I was born! I had to buy 4-4 Yamiya reproduction pipes though as it had some unfitting 4-2 pipes when I inherited it.
I think the saying goes... "if you have to ask, you probably can't afford it"
Douchey I know, but it is true in this case. I don't give a flying #@$% about milage. It is all about smiles/miles. Edit... I actually have looked at the milage before and have been disappointed cause I expect it...
Yes- that was the gas tank skid. It also has a tubular guard for the exhaust/catyalytic which got smushed as well.
As far as sliders for the hitch/reciever, I don't think you'll actually damage >1/2" thick steel but a skid might help prevent hang-ups.
I just did Moonlight Madness up to Bald Mountain in my completely stock JTRD, but grew up wheeling in the Sierra Nevadas. I took all "easy" routes, and went slow. Had my whole family in the JT. Finally got it up on the lift yesterday to look at the carnage. I was pretty surprised how much...
Takeoffs from my JTRD- less than 2500 miles, perfect condition, no dents/scratches and include all hardware. Located in Fresno/Clovis, pickup only please.
I was on a paved forest road for the first time this weekend with some relatively "small" potholes and experienced this jarring problem too!!! Was only going approximately 25 mph and actively avoiding major potholes.
