  1. My personal opinion, its not sexy!

An ugly truck you say? :CWL:
  2. Matts Ugly Truck

So my sub finally came in. I had the bright idea to try and start an amp/sub install at 10pm.... Luckily I had already run most of the wires when I installed the insane audio. So mostly it was finding a ground (I used the seat bolt) and then connecting everything. Not too bad. Im not 100% in...
  3. Matts Ugly Truck

I mean - its pretty ugly.. but like a bulldog is ugly. Its also awesome.
  4. Matts Ugly Truck

Alright here comes the post where I piss a bunch of people off with my "Ugly Truck" theme. Before you judge to harshly - I did this as a joke to troll my kids who hate the way the Gladiator looks. I love it and an opportunity to tease them couldnt be passed up. The "Ugly Truck" part will be...
  5. Max Tow pushing it too much?

You might be right - I am just using the other guys numbers and trusting that he knows what the heck he is talking about.
  6. Max Tow pushing it too much?

So dont fully load it. It still doesnt mean that he cant pull the trailer with dirt in it, or his trailer/tractor. It does sound like he is pushing it about 5% over its rated max for some of the loads, but lets not pretend he is going *way* overboard (he said 7-8k, Truck rated for 7650). Put 5%...
  7. Max Tow pushing it too much?

No, he is asking for a trailer to pull what his truck is rated to pull.....
  8. Base speaker package upgrades?

Right, but the connections can be wired backwards. You would have to splice them if thats the case. There is an app you can get on your phone to check polarity.
  9. Base speaker package upgrades?

Might want to check the polarity. A lot of people have found that the Gladiators wires are backwards.
  10. Base speaker package upgrades?

Dont worry, its not just the base. The premium stereo is also butt cheeks. So you were smart to save on that waste of $$. The easiest and cheapest upgrade is to google the Kicker Dodge Dart speakers. They fit in both the overhead and the ones by your windshield. Youll spend ~$250-300 ~$150 and...
  11. Jeep gladiator your first Jeep?

Technically no, but spiritually yes. I has a Compass on lease for a couple years a while back. It was your basic suv with nothing special about it. This is a "real" Jeep.
  12. Matts Ugly Truck

The longhorns had a claim on orange way before the mojave edition was made. Plus, I have a different sticker for the hood :CWL:
  13. @ShadowsPapa

So is this a safe spot to ask a dumb question? How do you get over the fear of all your stuff flying out with the doors off? I love no doors, but I am constantly afraid everything and everyone body is about to fall out.
  14. Matts Ugly Truck

And yes, I do realize the bed mat is upside down. It had a ridiculous curl in it, so I installed it this way so that it can flatten; then I will flip.
  15. Matts Ugly Truck

Ive been meaning to get the bedliner done for a couple weeks now so that I could put in the mat and toolboxes, but I needed to clear out my garage so they got installed out of order. I still need to get the bedliner done.
  16. Very dumb question: What are those little black things on the Sport hood called?

I dont know who @Motoarch was mad at but I know thats not a thing I want to be apart of
  17. Very dumb question: What are those little black things on the Sport hood called?

I have another question and I dont know if this is a safe place. Please be kind. How do you all make your bumper grill cool. I took it off. I took it apart. And my immediate thought "you will make this your worst mistake... dont do it"
  18. Very dumb question: What are those little black things on the Sport hood called?

Im all about the hi-jacking. It was dumb of me to post as" the heel" and am thankful all you old farts are here to do my reading for me
  19. Matts Ugly Truck

I cant claim that I am an expert here, but this is what I did: 1. Take out the half dozen rivet/clip things in the back. 2. One bolt that was 10mm (I think) 3. Used a sanding block - I am 99% sure its 220 grit but I threw away the label already 4. Spray with cleaner 5. Spray with paint and then...
