I would have loved to get a Mojito JT, but now that Gecko is out, my guess is you wont see Mojito any time in the near future.
But hey, what do I know.
I am just some random dipwad on the internet. ?
I have the Billet Silver on my JL.
I think its a good color, but yea its on the safe or serious side.
IMO black/dark greys or gunmetal looks best on it (again, kind of a safe/serious choice), but blue can work and look pretty good.
Sadly red does look pretty good too.
As you note it is...
My wife & I have owned 3 Trackers and a grey market SJ410 ( Samurai/Jimny ) over the years.
If they still sold them or similar (with soft tops) I never would have bought the JL.
Trackers/Sidekicks are not Jimnys.
They had IFS vs the jeep like solid axes of the Jimny/Samurai, also a bit bigger...
Never an issue on my 1996 Geo Tracker soft top that I owned for 22 years. I did replace the top one time after around 16-17 years. It was pretty weathered by that time.
I am the opposite. I prefer the hard top on the JL and soft on the JT.
The rear window gets covered in crap on the JL and I use the washer/wiper a lot.
The vinyl one on the JT stays pretty clean.
The soft top on the JL was notably louder than the hard top.
I did not find it as big a difference...
Had considered a basic Sport until I did some extended test drives with different trims.
Quickly found power windows/locks was something I did not want to do without.
Having a soft top and running it open when ever I can, I would not want to go without power windows.
I am always "tuning" the...
I have a soft top for my JT so I don't have/need a lift system for it.
But for my JL I just use eyebolts and tiedown straps.
I have been thinking of trying the bicycle lifts idea, but not sure if it will really make the process that much easier.
I think you are right.
Was noted earlier in this thread. You can see the difference between the side he wasn't having issues with.
Is that part spring loaded or does it move with the closing arm?
The issue typically is the sound bar not the top Itself.
In fact the soft top has TONS of room overhead, but again most are bothered by the sound bar.
FWIW 6'-5" no issues, but its close IWO the sound bar.
I assume the 130 has the rear door the way it is for the exact same reason ours does.
Because its identical to the one on their 4 door "SUV" 110 version.
