Not me... passenger side fits great. The mucket stands up. Drivers side it gets folded down. It doesn't try to cut the door seals like Shadows papa. And a whistling wind noise. Oh, and barely clamps down. No effort.
5mm is not small. That is just under .200 That would make a fairly decent air gap or push really hard on a seal. I would hope that the 5mm is total tolerance.... plus and minus.
That's is what is strange about mine. I bought it new for my 2021 JT and it worked great no leaks no wind noise. Put it on my 2024 and it has wind noise. No leaks, but if out did the water would just run out the drain and I wouldn't know. So works on one JT but not the other.
Yeah that's true. I wonder how much tolerance is allowed in the cage. Being that the Sunrider mounts to the cage but the freedom panels sit on the windshield frame and the front on the hardtop. Yes, I realize the there is a bolt on the front of the hardtop to the roll cage on each side. But...
Bestop sent me some new latches that pull the front down more. The original had almost no resistance. You can tell they pull it down a little more, but not a lot. Like you said.... pull it too much then it will pull the front sides down. I still get the air noise from the front. I was thinking I...
That's doesn't sound right. I'm sure the pressure when clamping the freedom panels is not too much? My freedom panels have a nice pressure when clamping them.
Since my clamps have little pressure( on the Sunrider) that's probably why mine sounds like a big air leak.
I'm glad to see that they are actually doing something to try and fix it. I think you have more leverage since you got your top with your JT. You were able to get Jeep involved.
