I was always under the impression that Bestop manufactured the factory soft tops since the mid 80's and the Mopar Sunrider also. My JL has the same style of side rails (factory soft top )as my Sunrider. Same bolts, same bronze inserts and same style latches. No logo though.
Yes it would.
I did contact Bestop and do tech support by email and pictures for what it's worth. In the end, they told me the mucket, being pushed out was fine. Didn't cause any problems and I needed to warranty my front seal out with Jeep. I asked, why would they do that since my freedom tops...
FYI..... my Sunrider was mounted on my 21 Mojave. It had no mucket but did have drip channel in the front window frame.....no side airbags. It mounted just fine in my 24 Mojave. It just pushed out the mucket causing the door to fold them down when shut.
My rails do sit parallel with the door...
That is definitely not a seal problem. The side rail should sit on the jeep just like the freedom panels do. That has nothing to do with the front seal and everything to do with the way the side rails mount to the roll cage.
I did notice that the Mopar branded top has a different front mount...
That is true. Mine does sit evenly from front to back. It just has really bad wind noise. Like air is blowing in under the front seal. I got so tired of it that it is sitting in the spare bedroom.
That why I wonder if the factory soft top pushes out the muckets on the newer jeeps? They would of had to make changes to it if it doesn't. The factory soft top side rails mount the same way. It also uses the holes on the roll cage. At least that is what it does on my wife's 2018 JL. I have...
Yeah, that is what mine sounds like. Just like a robot! It makes noise on it's own, but more if I bump the wheel when climbing in. I really only notice it in the morning, but being in the garage might amplify the sound. It is the electric power steering pump I was told. My buddies 23 JL does...
I do notice if my wife gets in my JT and I haven't connected my phone, her phone will wireless connect. It doesn't sound bad, but I do notice the sound will skip randomly.
The situation I’m talking about… the music will play…but it sounds like such shit because its skipping and hiccuping.
Does it play fine if you use a wired connection?
I had issues with wireless android auto. If I plugged my phone in so it would charge I would get connection issues. I think it the uconnect didn't know how to handle a wired connection and wireless at the same time. I turned off wireless connection in my phone settings and no more problems.
This is probably not the problem...... but if I have my phone and keys in the same hand. My phone will interfere with the keyless entry. Separate them and it works fine.
This Sunrider worked great on my 21. I kept it to put on my current JT. Of course my 21 didn't have the mucket. The gap on my doors doesn't look off like yours. The gap is even, but drivers side mucket is pushed down and gets folded by the door. The passenger side is pushed a little but still...
