Weird having that issue with the Patagonias mine have had no issues at all on 2 different vehicles but I’m running 35’s not 40. But I am going to switch to their AT tire when the MT wear out

Stock speakers suck and are the same even in the more expensive system I would start there

If your willing to bail already you should it’s one issue and it happens no manufacturer’s are perfect and you got one that is not.

The radio is under the passenger seat and I bought a extension for the mic which is tucked up under the panel from under the passenger seat The extension is just a cat 5 wire extender

Space wise it takes up nothing I have mine under the passenger seat and the mike is mounted next to the tune button on the radio.

We did handheld ones first then I installed a midland MXT275 MicroMobile® Two-Way Radio and like it alot

This does not mount to the trail rail and it works with it or without it so it does not interfere with it

My smittybuilt is just like it and I haven’t seen any damage from rubbing
