I own a 22 ED Gladiator and I did consider the 3.6 initially. I looked at these trucks, watched videos and read all I could about them for 4-5 months before finding what I wanted and bought it. There were a few serious considerations with the area I live the Appalachian Mountains and how each...
My Rubicon Diesel, love all the Gladiators but the diesel has become something I wish I had entertained years ago. I could t find one with the white top but I got as close as I could to what I wanted.
I agree, reverse puts it under tension as the pinion gear engages the ring gear. Shifting to park releases that tension and the newer gear set is not broken in yet and binds more during engagement so it has a lot more tension to flex back on release.
22.9 is my worst tank yet. I typically run it down to about an 8th of a tank and fill up. With that being the worst and the first tank ran 28.9 it has a lot to do with traveling on a 4 lane highway as opposed to up and down curvy mountain roads.
When I purchased my new Gladiator back in October I drove from the Kentucky line to Newport News along the coast to get it. First tank of fuel got 28.9 per the dash and the cruise was set in 80 pretty much the entire way. Drove I-64 back to I-81 and South from there. No idea about 90 but 80...
I received the recall on my 22 JT about two weeks ago. I called the dealer and the service and parts department is expecting it to be a fourth quarter repair. I asked what that meant and he said they don’t expect the parts until September or October. Because I called he said they will call me...
Thanks for sharing, I am eager to do some trails this summer with my Rubicon. I have convinced myself the factory setup will give an old guy all the off-road fun he needs.
Those who will argue your point likely haven’t driven a stock JT Diesel in mountainous terrain versus driving other gasoline pickups in the same terrain and doing the same things with them, or they just don’t like diesels. The same goes for folks who say torque only matters on a hill. Torque...
I own a 22 eco-diesel and couldn’t be happier with the truck. I live in the Appalachian Mountains of Southwest Virginia and there is no comparison climbing these mountains to a a gas engine. I have always owned a Chevy with a 5.3 since they first came out with them to pull a boat with, had...
