  1. First Transmission Drain and Fill

Here is what my friend recommended: (have not translated it but if required I can) Moin Jörg, Einfache Frage, viele Meinungen. Offiziell hat das 8HP ohne Hybrid (das sollte im Gladiator drin sein) eine Lebensdauerfüllung. Das bedeutet prinzipiell 10 Jahre, oder 160tkm. Bekannt ist dass die...
  2. First Transmission Drain and Fill

I assume the longer piece is just a flash which has not been removed during production. So I wouldn't worry about it, specifically if everything is running smooth. Just recently talked to a friend who is working as a design engineer in ZF, Friedrichshafen and he was telling exactly what you...
  3. Tire volume calculations

That would be a smart solution but I am quite sure that Darel is not able to refill the scuba tank with his compressor. ;)
  4. Best Tonneau Cover

I have the Mopar trifold factory installed and am quite happy with it. But if I would have the choice and if it would be available I would go for the Diamondback.
  5. Tire volume calculations

I would go with a vehicle mounted compressor.
  6. Alpine radio worth it

Exactly. For people like me. I am very satisfied with the Alpine and also with 8.4 and would miss it. And I thought that the bluetooth speaker in the back is a unnecessary gimmick until I used it for the first time. Now I have a different opinion about this box.
  7. considering a gladiator, but got some requirements

It seems that it is typical. Yesterday I did a trip to a race track in Belgium with the same set up. In total 225 miles, 99% highway, ACC on 65 miles/ hour, flat terrain and again 23 mpg.
  8. Scotty Kilmer's (Positive) Review of a 2023 Gladiator...

If this guy is telling the diesel engine is crap then this gives me a good feeling to have it in my car ...
  9. Retro Gladiator build, my modern take on the Old Honcho

Even if your shop is smaller as it looks on the pictures I am jealous ... But I have to admit, even if I would have that kind of shop I am too lazy (and maybe not talented enough) to do such an absolute fantastic build. Anyhow, I really enjoyed the documentation and hope to read some more in...
  10. Regearing, where does the power come from?

Instead of regearing, a turbocharger might also be a good measure to cope with the bigger tires ...
  11. Retro Gladiator build, my modern take on the Old Honcho

I am extremly impressed and looking forward to see the final details. Enjoy the dinner!
  12. Oil level at your first oil change

That's most likely what I am also going to do.
  13. Oil level at your first oil change

Refilled 1/2 quart after 3k and another 1/2 quart after 6k. I am just asking myself if I should wait up to 10k with the oil change or (let) do it now.
  14. Jeep Gladiator value in the toilet

Just looked at my crystal ball and have seen that the Gladiator will be a much appreciated classic car in 2043 with is's value double as high as the original MSRP.
  15. Do you carry medical when wheeling?

Have to admit, I am carrying only what is required by law. And my first aid training, which was required for getting the driver licence, is already more than 40 years ago. So even with the basic kit I couldn't do to much (maybe more damage than good). Should do a refresher but I am to lazy ...
  16. What's everyone doing with their spare tire?

Is that really the case? I could imagine that driving some 20-30 miles with one wheel having a different diameter would not cause any damage. And if it is put on the non drive axle there should be no issue at all.
  17. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

I did a car wash, by hand. And afterwards waxing. Took me 5 hours ...
  18. Trading a 2022 High Altitude for a 2021 Rubicon diesel?

I would keep the High Altitude.
