I believe it only works if the temp is read at 40 degrees or lower by the Jeep, which takes a little driving before the temp sensor reads the actual temp and not the last reading it took from your previous drive.
I would also recommend looking at the @Clayton Off Road lift kits, they have something for every budget. I bought my JTR in Nov. 2020 and waited to lift it until I figured out what my needs/wants were. I went with the 3.5 overland plus kit and paired it with Bilstein 5160 shocks, so far it has...
It sounds like AEV is the kit you want, you have had success with their product in the past and that seems to be a key factor for you. I chose Clayton Off-road when I did my lift based on the many great reviews of their products. I paired the lift with Bilstein 5160 shocks, which I prefer for...
You have the 5100 or AEV version? Which direction does it pull? I have a very slight pull to the right, I just chalked it up to the alignment shop not quite getting it perfect.
Thanks, I added the 5100 version when I did my lift, more so that it matched the Bilstein shocks than out of needing it. It was pretty stiff and took some effort to get it mounted, not sure how it will hold up and thought it was worth asking about it in case I need a replacement sooner then...
Do you know if there is a difference between the AEV branded version over the standard 5100? They are close in price so I wonder if it is just a branding/paint difference.
Reasonably priced gear ratio options that can be selected as a standalone feature, optional tire sizes, 6 or 8 aux switch option instead of 4, BFG KO2’s as the standard tires for Willy’s trim and higher, optional for all. Personally, I think that a Rubicon with 4.88 gears and 35’s would be the...
Here are a few pics of the mount, these are just a cheap set from amazon. I have had them on for the past 2 1/2-3 years and they are holding up well. The mounting bolt is already captured in the mount but it does fit in the holes without having to modify anything.
Yellow Fog Lights, Chelhead 2...
All of the KO2’s run smaller than claimed size. I have had these on my Gladiator for the last 3 years and about 35,000 miles, so I am planning to finish them out before moving up to the 37’s which they claim measure 36.5. BFG measurements are probably accurate before the tire is mounted and has...
You won’t regret the @Clayton Off Road lifts, I did the 3.5 overland and am very happy with it. 37’s will be upcoming when there is a sale or new tires are needed. Currently on KO2 35’s.
I like the ride now better than with the stock shocks. It is definitely what most would consider a harsher ride, but I was not a fan of how soft the stock Rubicon shocks were. I like the way it rides and handles now with the lift on it, hopefully I will get it out on some trails soon.
Also it...
I have the Clayton 3.5 Overland lift I just put on last month and I am still on my 35 KO2’s. I will go up to the KO2 37’s when it is time to replace the tires, but I am not in a hurry to do so. I paired the lift with the Bilstein 5160 shocks.
