It is definitely more than 4 bolts, at least 8 but I think it is 10 or 12. It has been 3 years since I did my winch so my memory on the number of bolts is fuzzy.
I just pulled the radio out, laid a rag in and drilled out with a step bit till it was big enough for my cables. The rag caught all the plastic bits that fell in, made for easy clean up.
It is easy to take the radios out with simple tools, philips screwdriver and a set of plastic trim tools...
You do not have to go to the dealer for the TPMS sensor, you can if you want to though. Something to consider about the 5 tire rotation, if you off road the spare may take some scrapes and bruises. While I have not done a 5 tire rotation yet (debating on doing it now that I moved up to 37’s)...
Absolutely, most trails have bypasses for the hardest parts. I have been a few times in the Gladiator and it was still stock height with 35’s. The “whoops” on the trail is what was getting me, long wheelbase would cause me to drag on some. Now I am lifted on 37’s, so that shouldn’t be a problem...
How are you mounting the items up there? I have the bulletpoint mounting rubigrid system, so I just used a step bit and drilled a hole underneath it to run wires up. I also have an aftermarket radio (Insane Audio JL4001, but I am 99% sure they went under so I wouldn’t recommend buying one now)...
It will give you a good starting point, I assume that you bought it used? No info from the dealership/seller?
Looking for adjustable control arms, track bars, sway bar end links, bump stop extensions, etc. will also give you some more info to start running down what type/height lift you might...
While I don’t have this exact jack, I have (basically) the same type from TSC. I believe the TSC one has been discontinued, I got it for a smoking deal a few years ago, if I didn’t already have it this is what I would buy...
Everybody started somewhere, don’t be afraid to ask questions— even ones that you think might be stupid. Haters are going to hate, and some folks just love to pound their chest telling everyone how they are better than thou.
I haven’t gone since adding my lift, but I was also kinda confused when he was talking about going over poser rock. I have been to Uwharrie many times…
Yes, I am aware. No 37 inch tire measures at 37 inches mounted. That is why I always make sure to point out that my “37’s” are the KO2’s, the weight savings over other brands “37’s” is why I chose them. I also have had very good luck with wear and mileage on multiple sets of the KO2’s, in 35 and 37.
I am running 0 offset Warn Jackhammer’s, I just went up to 37 KO2’s from 35 KO2’s. With the 35’s I never had any issues with rubbing while wheeling, I haven’t been out wheeling on the 37’s yet, but I don’t anticipate running into issues. Time will tell though, I like the way the wheels look and...
Thanks, I did read the instructions, before I even bought it. Did you have a 42mm socket already or did you have to buy one? Or did you use something else for the pitman arm nut?
I am pretty sure that the spares from Wranglers are all the same wheels as what comes on them, due to them being mounted on the rear of the vehicle. I could be wrong though, I just don’t recall ever seeing a different wheel on the back of a wrangler. I would double check the specs on any you...
