You are correct, the outside bracket needs to be cutoff in order to mount them correctly.

I replied to your other post asking about them, I am 99% sure they are mounted upside down, they should disconnect at the bottom. Some brands come with a mount that you have the option of adding to “connect” to that keeps them out of the way. On my JKU I just used ranger band (thick rubber band)...
Are the sway bar disconnects supposed to be mounted in that orientation? I have never seen front disconnects that are released on top, usually they are released from the bottom and then clipped up out of the way with the sway bar itself.
When I did my lift (Clayton 3.5 overland+) I went with the Bilstein 5160’s. I think they are the best from a performance/price standpoint, and way better than the Stock JTR Fox shocks. I found the Fox were way to soft and wanted to stiffen up, if you want a stiffer ride I would recommend them.
I would do springs and make the necessary adjustment to your control arms, brake lines, bump stops, etc. Spring brand shouldn’t matter, use whichever brand you prefer.
I don’t think that anyone can give you an exact number, there are a lot of variables to it. I am on 37’s and stock 4.10 on my JTR, I tow my boat (3500LB inc. trailer) less than 15 miles to launch it and have no issues. I would not want to tow it a long distance though due to it also being a huge...
20 JTR, 3.5 inch Clayton lift, 37 KO2’s- I average 17-18 here in Eastern NC and got 19.2 on a recent trip up to PA. Return trip with new trailer and a stupid headwind-8.7!
I am expecting around 14-15 normally towing the trailer, as long as the wind complies.
It is nice and will work well for my needs, I bought mine at the General RV in Elizabethtown, PA. When I was searching around online they had the best price and it came with everything; rooftop tent, awning, 22” Blackstone griddle, Camco 45qt fridge cooler, 5000 BTU AC, electric heater, 110w...
What are you looking for in a travel trailer? I started with this home built trailer (not built by me) that worked great for my son and I. I only upgraded to the ModBug so that my wife will get out more with me. This one has room for storing a lot of gear in it and the tent is up off the ground...
Just bought my Modern Buggy 12LRK last week, went to PA from NC to get it. While I was up there went to AOAA and ran their Badge of Honor trails, worth the time for those in the area.
I am in the process of buying one, I should be going to pick it up in PA next week. They are nice, but I think the pricing of them can be ridiculous. There is one for sale here in my town brand new, but they are asking $23K (marked down from $27K). The one I am working on getting is $15.5K new...
2020 JTR, bought in Nov 2020. 42K miles and I am still on the original batteries, I have added Aux switches (VOSwitch), 6 lights, winch, onboard air, replaced the 7 inch with an insane audio JL4001, I am parked in the driveway and she sits for days sometimes without being driven. My auto...
Neither, I have aftermarket Warn Jackhammer wheels. Stock wheels are 7.5 inches wide, with a 12.50 inch wide tire on it you will be fine taking it down to 20 PSI, probably could even go below 10. The only time I would start to worry about being that low and losing the bead is if I was going to...
While I have not had those tires specifically, I have taken both 35 and 37 inch KO2’s down to 10-12 PSI while off road and have never lost the bead. I routinely run them at about 15 PSI while off road and only take it lower if needed.
