Clayton 3.5 overland plus, Bilstein 5160’s with KO2’s in 37. Finished a 7700 mile trip towing my ModBug 12LRK (2000 pounds loaded roughly) and that includes dragging the trailer the whole white rim trail in Canyonlands NP. Over the 7700 miles I averaged 12.8 MPG, I have the stock 4.10 gears. Not...
I had a similar (mis)fortune heading to Moab a few weeks ago, guy in an F150 decided to play bumper cars with me on I-70. Slammed into the side of us at 80 mph and only left some rub on the tires and a skid mark on the door from his mirror. It was crazy that there wasn’t more damage.
it is nice and works well, but it also heavy for what it is. It didn’t come with a stand/ legs so I bought them separate, I didn’t want to warp anything using it on the counter in the kitchen area. It also would block the storage cupboards if I cooked on the counter top.
The stock draglink is adjustable, without knowing what size/type of lift is (or isn’t) on your Jeep it will be hard to offer any ideas. If the dealership is sure it is the draglink, I would put a new one one, but I would also do the tie rod and ball joints at the same time (personally).
I got it from General RV for just over 15K, comes with a heater, AC (5K BTU), awning, rooftop tent, Camco fridge cooler, 22” Blackstone griddle with storage bag, and has Solar on the rear kitchen area to keep the battery trickle charged. Also has a 10 gallon water container with an outside...
I recently bought a Modern Buggy 12LRK, went to PA to pick it up for a great price. I will be taking it from NC to Moab (via Texas and Las Vegas) and then a long trip back to NC.
They owe it to you to make it right, whatever that means to YOU. Give them the opportunity to make it right, but I would be ready to get a lawyer involved. Unfortunately a lot of insurances will try to take the minimum route instead of the right route. I hope you have a quick and painless deal...
Is this your entry into the Jeep world? If so you may have the intention to keep a Mojave stock before you buy and drive it, but that may quickly change. It is even likely to change if you plan to start off-roading, that is the gateway to empty pockets. If you really do prefer the finer things...
What suspension upgrades are you making to support that large of a tire? For looks or off-road performance? How much poke are you looking to have or not have?(wheel offset/backspacing)
In my opinion, 40’s is a huge financial, never-ending loop of repair and replace, hell I think 37’s are the...
I am a fan of Clayton Offroad’s 3.5 Overland+, I paired it with the Bilstein B8 5160’s. On my JKU I had a 3.5 Rock Crawler lift that was also good. I do like a stiffer ride both on and off-road. For me the stock Fox shocks were way to soft, I couldn’t wait to get rid of them.
35’s are going to look small with the Clayton 3.5 lift, tire size and look are all subjective though. I don’t know how the MT Baja Boss measure out when mounted, but my 35 inch KO2’s (I know the KO2’s aren’t true to size) are pictured below and then with the 37 inch KO2’s.
