  1. Gladiator insurance still much higher than Wrangler?

Yeah my insurance premium started increasing every 6 months since 2022… to date it’s been 57%… I’ve had 0 accidents and 0 incidents that would cause my rates to sky rocket… just a federally mandated service that we must purchase from a 3rd party whose in it to make money and deny you as much as...
  2. Ecodiesel Recall 01A HPFP Parts are Available

Yep no issues a few weeks in. Drove to Kingman AZ today with some steep passes this weekend, Southern Utah last weekend and all is in order. I saw temps of 103 and 107 in the last week already. /shrug
  3. Eco diesel re gear

What about empty? I’ve heard mixed results with 37’s and 4.88 freaking the truck out when it’s in 4th gear before getting across an intersection.
  4. Jefe’s Gladiator Rubicon EcoDiesel

It was hot as balls out today…. Anyways got my motobilt vents back from powder coating. Also… it is kind of insulting we get 0 insulation in these other than some cheap carpet on a $60,000 truck. Since I’ve decided I’d like to retire some day, I didn’t jump on the armorlite wagon quite yet…...
  5. Chromoly Axle shafts vs RCV

Did you keep or delete the FAD?
  6. Diesel cooling options and ideas

Yeah… I suppose this is one of those ā€œdo I buy light bars before lockers?ā€ conversations. I also want to do better insulation and armorlite flooring as I’m sure you’re aware as well, the floor boards get super hot in warmer temps too. Any pics of your install?
  7. Chromoly Axle shafts vs RCV

My phase II consists of a 3.5 inch lift, beadlocks, 39’s, truss, RCV’s, ball joints and a regear to what I’m not sure yet.. might be 4.10’s if 4.30’s don’t exist then because 4.55 I think would be too tall.
  8. Chromoly Axle shafts vs RCV

+1 on RCV’s from all my research. They are on my phase II build list in my head for when I re-do all my suspension and go 38’s or 39’s.
  9. Saw my first 6th gen 4Runner today

Unless vehicles share parts… why can’t they be at least some what original? Nissan did this with the Xterra, Path Finder, Armada and Titan back in the day too. Makes the whole line up feel like it has a little less personality. Toyota is continuing to do it now. To be fair, there are only two...
  10. Heartbreaking... My trunk was damaged in transit... Is it totaled?

That's usually how I see it work. Sometimes if it is so cut and clear the insurance will just cut you a check for your deductible right back to you.. or at least I've seen it happen multiple times on simple fender benders where the at fault party won't respond or denies responsibility.
  11. Heartbreaking... My trunk was damaged in transit... Is it totaled?

I can’t speak for the trade in aspect, I just purchased my truck from them back in 2021. I think it’s like 3-5% below invoice without the finance incentive. They just ask you make payments for 6 months on essentially a loan they purchased for cheaper so they can get a bit of a kick back from the...
  12. Diesel cooling options and ideas

I’ll have to dig up your other posts to see exactly what you did exactly. Did you self install? I just removed the engine cover and hood insulation and am waiting to pick up my motobilt vents from the power coat shop this week. I’ll be getting a ā€˜24 grill soon as I can save the green for it...
  13. Heartbreaking... My trunk was damaged in transit... Is it totaled?

You’d have to finance through them but @12psi does 8% below invoice on in stock and sold orders… should be about 15%. Sounds like you need a Mojave X.
  14. Heartbreaking... My trunk was damaged in transit... Is it totaled?

Glad it was settled. I’d imagine it still kind of blows. Putting myself in similar shoes, know my JT itself was around that much. I wouldn’t be able to replace my diesel as it is no longer an option. Beyond that, I have probably another $12-$15k in mods and it’s nearly paid off at this point...
  15. Clayton Springs On Bricks/Cobblestones

Never thought I'd see the day you linked a youtuber explaining automotive sciences. I'm proud of you. Yes, that's just me poking fun.
  16. Shopping for a 392

@12psi edit… lol was trying to get another one of them referral checks
  17. Eco diesel re gear

I pull that somewhat regularly in the summer in my boat on 37’s. Not sure I’d regear even still. 4.88 will be too tall for 37’s in my opinion for all the months that you aren’t towing a trailer in the Ozarks… again, my opinion. But that’s worth what you paid. Here’s more reading on the subject...
  18. Do I need receipt for DIY oil change materials?

Never a bad idea for, in relation oil and filters are cheap and motors are expensive.
