  1. This is NOT the last Jeep I'll ever own....I hope........no, really!

The all new B.A.S.S taillights might of helped prevent this????? šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚
  2. Lost communication to canbus

My truck did the same thing when the Aux crapped out. The PO replaced only the main and it would take two taps on the start button to get her to wake up. Amazon has (had?)a good price on the battery you need. AC delco gold AUX 14-200….. as Mr Bill says—make sure you fully charge this battery...
  3. 5k mile oil changes in spite of oil life indicator still showing plenty left

I don’t have any 1970’s owners manuals but most owners manuals in the 80’s always said 7500 mile intervals (unless you live in ā€œsevere conditions ā€œ) then it was 3750 on the odometer. The funny thing is reps from the car manufacturers could never really explain to us what ā€œsevere conditionsā€...
  4. Premium Alpine Stereo System - Speaker Upgrades

Did you happen to have the sound bar ā€œrattle ā€œ or vibration prior to installing the updated speakers? How much of the polyfill was applied in the sound bar area when the new speakers were installed? Definitely going to update but want to figure out the fix for the speaker bar noise before...
  5. From The Archives - The Therapeutic Detailing

Sounds like he got the chance to live a good life!!!! Something not too many of us will likely experience this day in age. Certainly appreciate him and all others serving this country!
  6. 2021 Mojave P0300 missfire - suggest engine swap by dealer, replaced head/cams instead and now...

Ahhh… took it as they gave him an either or option. If that was the case the dealership should still have stood behind their repair whichever the choice was. But If that was the owners demand then yeah!!!!! SOL!
  7. Mirror/Locks decided to stop functioning

Have replaced and repaired many door harnesses on vehicles other than Jeep. So good post to allow others to see a common issue specific to this vehicle! I personally haven’t seen this on any of my wranglers or gladiator. Good info! šŸ‘
  8. 2021 Mojave P0300 missfire - suggest engine swap by dealer, replaced head/cams instead and now...

I would tell them it sounds like you mis diagnosed what repair would fix it so start again. Definitely wouldn’t pay a cent towards any failed attempt of a repair by their incompetence. Although when I turned wrenches for a living a (properly inspected) used engine for replacement usually trumped...
  9. JEEP STOLEN FROM SAN DIEGO. What next to secure? any and all ideas are welcome

Still reverting back to my initial comment if the area is extremely volatile to theft just a simple circuit break would be all you need. Whether it is in starter circuit or in the park position switch etc.
  10. JEEP STOLEN FROM SAN DIEGO. What next to secure? any and all ideas are welcome

Ahhhh! Gotcha! Wouldn’t have known that without the exposure of that kind of setup …. Makes sense . šŸ‘
  11. JEEP STOLEN FROM SAN DIEGO. What next to secure? any and all ideas are welcome

So if it’s gated(parking area) how did someone drive out in your gladiator? Not only did they steal your car but on foot or not they had to open the gate??? Sounds like you have other security issues than just the automobile.
  12. HVAC Dual Climate Zone Control Engineering

Sorry not an engineer. As a mechanic I can tell you the air handler is the same size from single to dual zone but the air handler in the dual zone has two temp control doors that distributes to two zones ( center left or center right) instead of all vents being the same. Instead of just the one...
  13. What do u have coming in the mail?

    Tax bills šŸ’µ
  14. JEEP STOLEN FROM SAN DIEGO. What next to secure? any and all ideas are welcome

Simple….cut the starter signal wire (smaller wire) and route an on-off switch ā€œsomewhere ā€œ hidden underneath dash, seat or console and unfortunately you will need to switch off and on every time you start the car but sounds like you don’t have a secured area to park your car. So that means more...
  15. Has anyone kept their stock tires (33’s/Mojave/Rubicon etc) and swapped them on new wheels?

Pretty good looking TJ! I’ve always liked those style of wheels on the TJ’s.
  16. Which looks better?

  17. Steer smarts brace steering wheel clocking

No not necessarily. Alignment of the wheels themselves hasn’t changed but with the steering shaft component replacement it will go through the process of recentering the steering wheel and recalibrating the angle sensor.
  18. Steer smarts brace steering wheel clocking

Front wheel alignment and request a reset (zeroing) of the steering angle sensor.
  19. Obd adapter for jscan

These are the sgw gateway extension cables I purchased, highly recommended for ease of connection.
  20. TPMS on spare tire?

Yes they are engineered to work on both( assuming you are talking about a steel wheel being the spare)
