Hey, check out the videos on youtube of guys taking pick n pluck foam in gun cases and using Plasti Dip spray on em. I tried it and liked it. Makes it way more durable.
Good question. I picked up my 22 JT in May and I'm in the same boat except mine are working flawlessly. But.....If I do have an issue... am I out of luck? @ORACLElights
Since you're in CA I would suggest just doing a EOC stage 1 where you don't physically remove any emissions but you can disable the EGR. You can also turn off the DEF if you want. Get a second ECU and you can go back to "factory" in a couple of mins by swapping the ecu.
I normally never buy extended warranties. But my daily is a blackwing engine Cadillac and I went ahead and got one for that. Then I picked up this JTRD and thought..... you know... it's only like $2k to 100,000 miles / 2030. It has some $$$ things that can go wrong. Why not. If anything, it...
I wouldn't advise less than a 37". You will be fine. You can also check out tire weights. Some are heavier than others. Go with a nice light (er) 37" and you will be just fine. (go with a heavy tire and you'll be fine too, but some DO go with a lighter tire as they want to reduce the possibility...
Your mechanic is mis-informed. I would go 37's and you will be perfectly FINE. It will bring you back more in line to how the gear ratios were when it rolled off the line with 32's or 33's. You won't regret it.
Hmmm apparently not doing deals anymore. Just called as I saw they had a "group buy" over on the wrangler forum. Asked if I could get in on it. He quoted me $2600 shipped. Didn't even ask about tax as Northridge is several hundred cheaper shipped to my door.
Dropped off my JTRD at the local dealer for the HPFP recall. They gave me a 23 Compass as a loaner. Good lord, I can't wait. My JT on 38's gets better city MPG and has more balls than this thing.
SUPER simple. I just loosened all the bolts and removed the bottom ones until I could "crack" it loose at the bottom and let it all drain into a pan for about 3 mins. Till it stopped. Then tightened em up in a criss cross pattern and refilled out of the bags.
Double checked over the next...
I just changed mine out about 2 weeks ago after my 500 miles. Took about 30 mins and that was moving slow. The soft bags they have now help a LOT. No more using a pump.
