Should i keep a added warranty??

How's is everyone's warranty holding up.. I have the factory 30k miles and also have a 75k mile or 6 years, I'm wondering what parts or services has everyone done to the gladiator to keep it running good. I'm debating whether to take off the 75k miles if not needed.

If you perform the required services, and repair / replace worn parts or damaged items, mechanically you should be fine.

The real value with an extended warranty comes when one of those expensive computers or other electronic parts fail.

It's just my opinion, based on my personal experiences, that an extended warranty may pay for itself. Consider it a form of insurance against the cost of replacing expensive components.

I normally never buy extended warranties. But my daily is a blackwing engine Cadillac and I went ahead and got one for that. Then I picked up this JTRD and thought..... you know... it's only like $2k to 100,000 miles / 2030. It has some $$$ things that can go wrong. Why not. If anything, it can't hurt resale.

I bought my Mojave used with 56k and the extended warranty for around 3K has paid for itself already and I only bought it last Oct. I have had 3 cam lifters replaced(problem with 2020 and 21 gladiators), all four doors making a loud clicking noise when opening and closing repaired, Driver side door handle replaced, (keyless entry stopped and it would not lock or unlock). Aux battery failed while traveling out of state, labor was covered, just had to pay for new battery (it was easier to just replace while on vacation than doing the delete). So in my short experience, things can start to fail on Jeeps over 50K and having a warranty has been a huge money savor!!!

I would NEVER buy an extended warranty until the 3/36 is almost expired.
There’s no sense in buying it early (and have them ‘overlap’). Keep that money in your pocket.

You have to weigh the options - Cost of an extended warranty VERSUS the cost to pay for repairs & labor outright VERSUS the slim chance you’ll actually need it. If your vehicle has been problem free for 3/36…… you probably don’t need one.
If your vehicle has been in the shop too many times to count in 3/36 - Consider the financial options of buying an extended warranty or just getting rid of the vehicle altogether and starting over again.

They are least expensive at the time of purchase and most expensive just before the 3/36 warranty expires. The start date for the Extended Warranty is always the in-service date of the vehicle, regardless of when it was purchased. The Mopar Extended Warranty is refundable, if it has not been used. Buy it when you buy the truck, and you can cancel it later and get your money back.

Thanks everyone, I decided on keeping the warranty... i only paid 900$ amd it's covers my rig for 6y or 75k miles and only 100$ deductible

To add some further information...
I purchased the 75K mile extended warranty, and paid ~$2k for it.
I used it a couple times for minor things; mostly I got it for peace of mind.
Now, at 74,500 miles, I asked about extending it to 100K miles, and was quoted ~$5K!
I'm not paying that for peace of mind! I can make a lot of repairs for that much.

Absolutely…. They offer it cheaper up front to get you ‘on the hook’…….and get their sales/revenue.

Refundable? It’d be pro-rated to the amount of time that’s left on the warranty, at a rate they‘d decide at the time of cancellation.

I’d still rather wait….because there’s a 75-100% chance I wouldn’t buy it at all.

I bought my Gladiator used with just a bit under 39K miles on it, to my surprise the dealership (a Kia dealership), put on a life time power train warranty, the only catch is you can't modify the jeep, even putting bigger tires on voids the warranty. Yes you can put on a cat back and CAI but pretty much anything else will void it. I've also had warranties on other vehicles and they too mentioned that if you change tire size then it voids the warranty... Just fuel for thought.
