It's a terrible idea for the consumer, but great $$$ for the manufacturer. I hate the whole fee based society we seem to be heading toward. It stinks.

1988 Cherokee 4wd 2dr known as "Fifi". Now on its third restoration...... this was the first.
Fifi was my daily driver, and was used as a model rocket recovery vehicle for several years.

I was keeping it under the back seat, but it took up half the storage area and was getting in the way. Plus I think it was messing it up being crushed by my tool bag and being folded.
So I came up with this:

And now I keep the bag in the garage for planned excursions.
I did the wood separator board thing too, you are right- it's great for groceries or small loads.
Note: if you round off the bottom corners it will sit flatter.
I put some D-rings on it for bungees.
That's probably what I'll end up doing, I didn't care for them during my other test drives. It would just be nice to get them "unused in the box" to store or sell later.
Anybody else get this notification that their side steps were forgotten? The one I bought didn't have them, which is one of the reasons I bought it. I think they get in the way and it looks better without them.
