  1. “Jeep wave issues”

This is funny to me. When a JT is coming at me I literally cannot tell the difference between it and a JL. It's hard to imagine how one would discriminate against a Gladiator when one cannot tell the difference head-on between it and a Wrangler. I remember the first Jeep wave I gave a...
  2. “Jeep wave issues”

I think it's just that non-Wrangler/Gladiator owners are more likely to have purchased their Jeeps because of the look, not the lifestyle, and are therefore less likely to even know what a Jeep wave is. Because of this, I think a lot of us just don't bother. I'll wave to XJ Cherokees, but try...
  3. Explain different Gladiators tow capacity?

Each different configuration of JT potentially has different; Axles Brakes Alternator Radiator/cooling Engine Transmission Weight All of these factors play a huge role in the towing capacity of any vehicle. For example, the Max Tow package includes wide-track axles. Those aid in towing. A...
  4. Opinions on GY duratrac for my new JT Overland?

Whoa! I've been a USAA member for YEARS, and never knew about this! :headbang: Thanks for the tip! Regarding the GY DuraTracs: I've got 316/75R16s on my 2008 JK, and they're AMAZING. I highly recommend them. On the Gladiator I'm still running the factory Falken Wildpeak M/Ts and they're nice...
  5. Bedlined it!

Thanks! The installer said to wait 48 hours before hauling cargo in the bed.
  6. Bedlined it!

I did the Line-X Premium (which has better UV resistance), and with tax it cost $679. I could have done it for about $100 cheaper if I'd done the non-premium IIRC.
  7. Bedlined it!

Thanks guys! Can't wait for it to fully cure so I can start using the bed of the truck again.
  8. Bedlined it!

I called Line-X before I purchased my Gladiator earlier this month, and have been on the waiting list since. Got the call today that they had some urethane if I could get up there... needless to say, I dropped everything and made that happen. I'm very happy with the result.
  9. What price shenanigans have you seen dealerships do?

It does. The survey is from corporate, and it affects the dealer’s rankings. I’m not sure what they call it anymore, but Chrysler use to call highly ranked dealers their “5 star” dealerships, and a 5 star dealership received perks like better volume discounts and more inventory. You should...
  10. Pulling the trigger tomorrow...need help though!

You don't have to pay cash to negotiate on the purchase price, which I think was the point @dcmdon was trying to make. You should know the financing terms before you speak to financing, and even then those terms are the terms that you walked in with. The last two cars I purchased I did a whole...
  11. Gladiator fuel overflowing.

I just completed my third fill up and it happened again. I think you two are correct. The placement of the nozzle seems to be very sensitive. Certainly a safety hazzard, and not like any other vehcile I've ever owned (outside of said 2008 JK that was recalled over this same issue). I suggest...
  12. What price shenanigans have you seen dealerships do?

This is why I always walk into a car deal with my own financing lined up. The Chrysler rate of 3.9% is highway robbery for someone with an 800+ credit score.
  13. Trading in 2020 Sport S for a 2021 Rubicon, given used car prices are soaring?

Used vehicle prices are NUTS right now. Just yesterday we sold our Sienna to Carmax for $3K less than we paid for it 2 years (and 12,000 miles) ago. We were able to roll that equity over into a brand new (and much nicer / more well equipped) Honda Pilot and ended up saving $60/month in monthly...
  14. 5.38s for Dana 44

I've not (nor do I plan) on re-gearing my JT. But, in my JK I run Yukon gears. They've held up well for my purposes. If I had to do it again I'd buy Yukon in a heart beat, but I'd probably do 4.88s instead of the 5.13s I did as I'm only running 35s and have the 6-speed.
  15. Is Build A Jeep on Jeep.com this far off?

Best way to build your Jeep is to start with the order guide (located in this thread), and manually work the numbers. You'll know the exact MSRP (& invoice), plus you'll have all the build codes to easily compare with your dealer to ensure they're adding the same options you are (I'm looking at...
  16. GECKO GREEN Gladiator Club

While I don’t think I’d want Gecko (no offense), I’m rooting for you guys. Jeep offers too many shades of gray, and not enough colors. We need something like Gecko green to brighten things up. :like:
  17. Dumb question - Manual Locks?

Yes, both front doors and the tailgate will have keyholes. Regardless of trim level this is the same for all our trucks. There is a simpler fob, but it will still be the same physical size. They just remove buttons. Sounds like yours will come with no buttons at all. For what it’s worth the...
  18. Dumb question - Manual Locks?

There is a key on the fob. It comes out when you press the little silver button in the corner. It's kind of like a switch blade knife. On your truck you'd simply insert this key into the key hole like any regular vehicle.
  19. GECKO GREEN Gladiator Club

As the owner of a Nacho Rubicon, I can confirm. Cloth seats, and gray dash. I'm not sure what makes FCA choose gray vs red for the Rubi dash, but body color seems to play a part. And Nacho was recent enough of a color that it's hard to chalk it up to early production snaffus like the Hydro Blue...
  20. Three Jeeps now....

Does it count even if one of them doesn't run yet/anymore? 1948 CJ-2A (with extra parts) in the foreground, and my 2008 JK Unlimited in the background: Same 2008 JK Unlimited on the left, and my 2021 Gladiator on the right:
