Rubicon Springs are slightly taller (+_1.5”) but softer than Max tow springs which results in a more bouncy ride. The rubicon shocks are much stiffer than the max tow shocks and add 1/2-3/4” lift alone.
Thanks! retained max tow rear coils but added a 3/4” (daystar) spacer to them. Rubicon fox shocks all around, rubicon coils up front with 1.5” (alloy) spacer. 35x12.50 r17 bfg MTs on stock rubicon wheels but recently added 1.5” wheel spacers.

Very happy with 1.5” above a rubicon front coil (2” above stock max tow) and a 3/4” in the rear, retaining the stock max tow rear coils. This is however with rubicon fox shocks.
Sport Max Tow with 35x12.50 bfg mts. Ran these without a lift but eventually added a 2” spacer because it rubbed off-road. It now has rubicon front coils with a 2” front and 3/4” rear coil spacers. this week added 1 1/2 wheel spacers and am very happy with the stance.
They are bfg MT KO2s 35x12.50s but mounted on the stock sport 17x7.5” wide wheel. Most run them on a 9” or wider wheel which makes a big difference visually. I run a set of 285x70xr17 on my FJ which are a 34x11.50 also on stock wheels.
Update! Added 3/4” daystar spacers to the max tow rear spring and the ride dramatically improved! I suspect mainly from the less compressed rubicon shocks in the rear and moving the center of gravity forward. Also think it improved the over all look, stance and tire and shock reveal. Took my...
Sunset run with the dogs and wife, chasing the daughter on her electric razor dune buggy. The battery died a mile away from the rigs so we leashed up the German Shepards and made it a dog sled. Good thing we bring our 4x4 fur buds everywhere we go.
