    Took the fam and Mr. Beau on a hike above San Luis Reservoir in Central California. Saw lots of Tule Elk on the way up to the Basalt campground entrance. Climbed a berm to help Beau get in the bed.

    Despite how cool she looked Topless with the new Tanneau, it’s January, cold as shit and couldn’t wait to see how the boommat performed! Took a little trimming and they cut out the rear defrost housing on the wrong side but what a difference!

    Starting out the new year in comfort! Today swapped out the 35” BFG MTs on the Stock Sport Wheels for some 33” ATs on Rubicon Wheels with full-size spare, added a OEM Tonneau, and boommat headliner/hardtop thermal acoustic barrier!

    Seemed like it. Stayed in 5th and maintained around 55 down a long hill with a 4,000lb trailer. Weird thing was it eventually shifted into 6th and even 7th.

    Wrapped up a camping trip in Carmel and towed the trailer a couple hours over a couple passes. Noticed that the transmission would not always shift into 8th gear when going down hill. Anyone know if that is normal?

    3000 Miles and 1st windshield down! Lower your glass deductible before it happens to you! The nearly vertical glass is super susceptible to cracking with even the smallest pebbles!
  8. Accessories - Which ones are best (your favorites)?

    I like um a lot, especially since they don’t cost you any ground clearance. Yes they definitely deflect gravel. You can adjust where you want them front to back.

    While wheeling in and out and through the river bottom this past weekend the 6” rails helped push the vegetation away from the rig and minimize scratches!

    That was my rational for going with the 6” wide rails! Shopping cart and car door proof! They also deflect gravel kicking up from the front tires.

    1.5” daystar front only coil spacer kit. $250 installed and aligned. Perfectly level and no assag, even with 4000 lb travel trailer tongue weight, using a weight distribution hitch And max tow package springs.
