Thank you for the reply's. I got to thinking about it, and since the panel is overhead the cable would be hanging down vertically, the weight of the cable would tend to disengage the connection, so I think I will go in a different direction. I already have one of the auxillary dual port usb...
Our group of 10 was there the week before EJS. Top of the World was pretty cool, coming down from the top we took the south part of the loop, there were a couple of sections that were.....interesting. Only one Glad, the rest were JK's or JL's.
I searched a lot for this, but can't find a simple USB charger that snaps into a MOLLE panel, or bolts in. It would be nice if it were pretty much flush mount, just the DC wires protruding from the back. I have an overhead MOLLE panel, already have my 2-way, aux speaker, phone mount and RAM...
"With the FAD setup in our Jeeps, while driving in two wheel drive you have the left axle shaft and right outer axle shaft spinning at wheel speed going forward, the driveshaft and differential not spinning, and the right inner axle shaft spinning at wheel speed backwards via the action of the...
Didn't Jeep, many years ago, have a similar FAD? It was vacuum operated and did not work out well if I recall correctly. So the purpose of the FAD is to theoretically increase gas mileage? But it forces the spider gears to spin much faster? And would not locking hubs accomplish this...
Just got back from Moab with a 10 Jeep group. Only problem over 5 days was one Gladiator lost a rear caliper bolt, the other one was only finger tight. We all scrounged through our on-board kits, one Jeeper had a spare that we trail installed with blue loctite. It is important to check these...
You can really broaden your knowledge by attending these shows. We have gone twice to the Off-Road Expo in Pomona. There is usually some special pricing at these shows. Picked up some nice traction boards for over a $50 discount. Also talked to the guys from Progressive Suspension, they had...
Since it is a 2020 you may have the aluminum steering gearbox. Check with the dealer, they were replacing those with a steel box if the customer complained about steering wander. I have see videos where the steering box would move 1/8 of an inch or more when the steering wheel was moved back...
I have the Falcon adjustables on our JKUR and liked them so much I got the same model for our Gladiator. We run in setting # 1 on the highway and then adjust to Setting # 2 off-road. The small adjustment knob is in position # 4, so when we are in Setting 2 we are about half way between "soft"...
A simple on board system for airing up tires has a lot of options. We are looking for volume of air as opposed to high pressure. Because of this I use the 5.25 cfm Smittybilt. There are many iterations of nearly identical compressors to this, even Harbor Freight now has one...
At this point I would try to go up the food chain to a higher level. Maybe contact Jeep (does not) Cares with a description of the problem. Document everything, but don't tell them about removing a bit of fluid. They could claim that you caused the problem by draining some out. Tell them you...
I have a similar product, different brand, and these overhead panels are really neat. I hung my 2 way radio, an external speaker, and a couple of Ram mounts from it. There is room for more, I am looking for a cell phone "holster" that I can have easy access to get to the cell phone. Maybe a...
Banks Pedal Monster--One of the programmable features is the ability to control launch tire spin.......I need this, every time I pull away from a stop sign the rear tires are smoking!!!! :CWL:
So I just went through the problem of the parking brake lever ratcheting all the way to the stop and the brake not holding on even a slight incline. I chocked the front wheels, put the TC in neutrual and pulled the rear tires. Jeep has, what I consider to be a poor design that requires you to...
I have the Falken 11.5 X 17 ATW+4 on my Gladiator. Very impressed with them so far, about 8000 miles. I have been a Goodrich guy for years but the newer KO3's have been limited in size options, so I went with the Falkens. May just stay with that brand now.
